Sling Libraries, what are they and how does ours work ?

If you’ve never been to us before or are wondering what it’s all about then wonder no further !!

We have been running the library for 10 years now !! We have 7 children between us and many years experience as parents and Baby Wearing Educators.

So how does it run ?

Well it’s just like a library we buy new slings and carriers to hire so that you can try multiple options before you may consider buying.

We run group session and 1-1 consultations. Group sessions are run from our venue in Hazel Grove and cost £25 for 1 person plus baby/babies and a 2 week hire or £35 plus baby/babies for a couple and a 1 month hire.

If you are completely new to baby wearing we offer home consultations which cost £40 and a months hire these are ideal if you’ve just given birth and want to stay in your own home!

We also offer a Bump to Birth package which includes 2 consultations one before baby is born and one after and includes a months hire these cost £60

Once your hire is completed you can either return to us or extend your hire, we also have lots of discounts and drop ship options for various retailers and we also sell a selection of Stretchies wraps.

What qualifications do you have ?

Both Liz and I are trained Baby Wearing Educator, initially we completed peer support courses and went onto complete consultancy courses with The School of Baby Wearing which gave us an accredited Level 3 qualification and the highly regarded Slingababy Consultancy course. We are also completed training with Ergobaby. We continue to do CPD sessions and are part of a wider network of UK Sling libraries. We have also run our own peer support course ( this can be arranged on request ).

Our overriding goal is to provide support and expert advice on safe babywearing. Recommending slings and carriers that are above all else suitable for your baby’s age and size. In a highly consumer environment with often aggressive social media trends we provide safe and qualified advice.

Good Evening ! We hope you have had a good Easter break. The library will be back open this week, however our usual venue is currently closed and unlikely to re open very soon. We are looking at alternative options and should have somewhere for next Friday. This week I will be able to do small groups from my house ! I’m also available for home consultations, these are ideal if you are new to Babywearing as we can offer you a detailed session in the comfort of your own home ! The session will be this Friday 20th March at 1pm at our venue in Hazel Grove, we will be doing a months hire plus the session for £30 !
