As May comes to a close and we turn the page to June, we enter a month that carries deep meaning for millions around the world. UK temperatures are hitting 31–32°C this week 🌡️☀️

Please check in on family, friends, neighbours, older people, young children, and anyone working outdoors. Heat can become dangerous very quickly.

⚠️ Know the difference between HEAT EXHAUSTION and HEAT STROKE:

🟠 Heat Exhaustion symptoms:
• Heavy sweating
• Dizziness or fainting
• Headache
• Muscle cramps
• Feeling sick
• Fast heartbeat
• Pale, clammy skin

✅ What to do:
• Move to a cool place
• Drink water or sports drinks
• Loosen clothing
• Cool skin with water/fan
• Rest

🔴 Heat Stroke is a MEDICAL EMERGENCY:
• Confusion or slurred speech
• No sweating despite heat
• Seizures
• Loss of consciousness
• Very high body temperature
• Hot, red skin

🚑 Call 999 immediately if someone shows signs of heat stroke.

Stay hydrated, avoid the midday sun where possible, wear light clothing, and never leave children or pets in cars.

Take the heat seriously — the UK isn’t built for these temperatures. 🤣
