performed its festival, juggled the sun in its ripples and swirls.
Years of ferrying rust and grief to the coast,
but it stayed true to its course and its cause.

Head to the Finkle Square marquee from 10am, grab a seat or spread a picnic blanket and enjoy great food and drink from a brilliant line-up of local street food traders. 👇

🎨 Don’t miss You and I, a powerful clay sculpture installation on the Oval Lawn, alongside the striking 64‑metre Community Art Wall, created by local schoolchildren and artists inspired by the urban park.

✈️ And keep an eye on the skies for the ceremonial RAF Battle of Britain Memorial Flight flypast - a highlight of the day.

🛩️ The stage is set for our Armed Forces Day celebrations at the spectacular Stockton Waterfront urban park and Riverside! Here are five highlights to look forward to tomorrow (June 20)...

1️⃣ Amphitheatre stage performances, including from the Borough's own Cattle & Cane, as well as community choirs, brass bands and professional performances.

2️⃣Fun fair with rides, stalls and ferris wheel on the Riverside.

3️⃣ Dance sessions on Finkle Square, come and join in!

4️⃣ A range of tasty food and drink on offer.

5️⃣ The much-anticipated RAF Battle of Britain Memorial Flight. Get ready for the flypast between 6.45pm and 7pm!

***RAF BATTLE OF BRITAIN MEMORIAL FLIGHT TIMING***

📢🛩️ We are excited to announce that a ceremonial flypast of the RAF Battle of Britain Memorial flight is expected between 6.45pm and 7pm on Saturday 20 June.

🤩 This spectacle will feature a C-47 Dakota ZA947 aircraft and will be the finale to the Borough’s Armed Forces Day celebrations at Stockton Waterfront urban park.

🛩️🎖️ C-47 Dakota ZA947 is the last of its type serving with the RAF. Dakotas served in every theatre of the war, including during the D-Day landings and the airborne assault on Arnhem in 1944.

🎶 Make sure you stick around for the evening entertainment from 6pm for the build-up, featuring music, entertainment and a live compere.

👀🛩️ Keep your eyes on the skies as this dramatic flypast takes place to conclude a packed day of fun and tributes to our armed forces both past and present. And you can track the aircraft on its approach using FlightRadar (ZA947)!

Following C-47 Dakota’s flypast, a flurry of fireworks will bring the celebrations to a close.

*** ADD TO OUR COMMUNITY ART WALL AT ARMED FORCES DAY CELEBRATIONS ***

🎨🧑‍🎨 Are you feeling creative? A huge 64-metre Community Art Wall will be on display at tomorrow's Armed Forces Day celebrations - and you can add to it!

🙌 Professional artists will be on site to help you contribute to the large scale artwork, which is near the Oval Lawn area of the spectacular Stockton Waterfront urban park.

🎖️ The wall will also feature winners from community illustration and creative writing competitions held recently. Take a look at these pictures for a sneak peek!
