Teesside Small Gauge Railway A 7.25 Inch gauge Miniature Railway. Steam, Electric and Diesel rides to the Public every Sunday from Easter to October, Wednesdays in the school holidays.

The Teesside Small Gauge Railway (TSGR) is primarily a model engineering club devoted to the running, maintaining and development of 7.25" gauge steam locomotives, electric locomotives, petrol locomotives and rolling stock for both club members and passenger running (public). During the running season, Easter until the end of October, we run every Sunday from 1pm to 4pm. Also, we usually open on bank holidays and selected days in the school holidays.

Trains running in Preston Park this afternoon, 1-4pm. Find us beyond the bandstand to the North end of the park. Follow the yellow signs from the car park and listen out for the horns/whistles.

Rides cost £2 each (under 3s free) for two laps of the circuit. Trains may be steam or diesel hauled.

It's been a busy old season and, as well as some very well-attended Sundays, we enjoyed some excellent Wednesday running days during the summer holidays - thank you all for your continued support!

Now it's back to maintenance days to continue the many projects, such as finishing the guard's coach, repairing the turntable, fabrication of new pointwork, overhauling Bagnall's valve gear, a full overhaul of Sian, and a new chassis for Franky, to name a few...

Not forgetting the less photogenic jobs including the endless gardening and piping a new air line through the workshop.

We're always happy to welcome new members for running and/or workshop days, with as much or as little commitment as you wish. Come down and see us or send us a Facebook message - previous experience welcome but not necessary!

We're hoping to run trains this afternoon from 1pm. Assuming the weather holds out we'll be here til about 4pm, but will update here if we are rained off earlier.

Unfortunately it is highly likely that the signal box will stay shuttered tomorrow (Sunday 6th) due to an insufficient number of volunteers being available. If the situation changes and we are able to run, we will of course provide an update here.
