A bit of freight action down at TSGR, yesterday. A productive day moving some very heavy granite cobbles from A to B. They were a lot heavier than they looked, but the 67 coped well with several loads!

A familiar face to many on the North Yorkshire Moors Railway, and used to rather larger steam engines, our newest member Chris brought his 5" gauge Tennant down today for a boiler test and, in between downpours, a run around the ground level track.

As you can tell by his trademark smile, it passed!

What can I say for our running over this bank holiday period. We have sufficient members for tomorrow however the weather is not on our side. For Monday we may have staff issues and as a result I will keep you updated. For tomorrow you must look out for our signs within the park area. That will indicate if we are running, the same applies to Monday TSGR

A busy Wednesday down at the club today saw the first run of a member's new Class 20, the grass mown, and the start of some track realignment in the turntable and steaming bay area.

Don't forget it's a Bank Holiday weekend coming up, so we will hopefully be open on Sunday AND Monday, with rides available between 1 and 4pm. Fingers crossed for good weather!
