Rode Hall & Gardens A beautiful Cheshire country house with a fine collection of English porcelain and extensive gardens. Monthly Farmers' Market on first Saturday of each month.

Rode Hall is a fine early eighteenth-century country house set in a Repton landscape. It has been the home of the Wilbraham family since 1669 and the extensive grounds include a woodland garden, a formal garden designed by Nesfield in 1869 and a large walled kitchen garden. Delightful tearooms serving homemade light lunches and cream teas.

Interested in local history and historic houses? We are looking for volunteer guides to show the public round the house on Wednesdays throughout the Summer. We have two teams so you would need to be available alternate Wednesdays from 1 April to the end of September. We are part of Historic Houses and have a large collection of porcelain and Gillow furniture which attract visiting groups from around the UK.
No experience necessary as full training will be given with our existing guides but an interest in history and ability for public speaking would be a definite bonus.
Please e-mail [email protected] for further information.

Our Bluebell Walk is on throughout the weekend including Bank Holiday Monday 10-4pm. The woods are looking beautiful with shimmering bluebells as well as stunning azaleas and rhododendrons.
We also have a special appearance on Sunday 3 May from two giant raven puppets who will be swooping through the trees as you wander through the woods. From the team behind the much-loved Just So Festival , this experience offers a small glimpse of the creativity that fills the estate each summer. The festival returns to Rode from Friday 21 to Sunday 23 August 2026. www.justsofestival.org.uk
The courtyard kitchen will be open serving breakfast, lunches and homemade cakes.
