Our Library set-up is putting on a special, free event here in the Staffordshire Moorlands to celebrate the centenary of the Winnie the Pooh books. The event, at the Coombes Valley RSPB Reserve, features storytelling, nature and family fun.
It all takes place on Saturday 22 August from 10am to 1pm and is designed for children aged 4 to 11 years old and accompanying adults. Please book to ensure your place!

Behind-the-scenes of Rats’ Tales rehearsals !

Our New Vic Education team's Rats’ Tales events will take place at Leek Library & Blythe Bridge Library on Thursday 30 and Friday 31 July and will feature a storytelling performance based on the classic tale of the Pied Piper of Hamlyn led by two professional actors: father and daughter duo Howard Chadwick and Isobel Chadwick.
Directed by New Vic Assistant Director Polly Wain, Rats’ Tales will guide young children and their families through a theatrical, inventive and interactive storytelling session where the only special effects are the actors and the audiences who will make the magic together.

🐀📖 A classic story with a brilliantly playful twist!

Join the New Vic Theatre this summer for Rat's Tales – a fun, interactive storytelling adventure for children and families.

Inspired by the classic tale of The Pied Piper, this lively 30-minute performance is packed with twists, surprises and plenty of silly sounds. You'll be invited to join in, wiggle your whiskers and become part of the story!

As we did so well with reuniting the brass mouthpiece with its owner, we are posting photos of all the lost property we have in the hope that it is also reunited with its (sometimes long lost) owners.
All items have been put in a carrier bag in the bottom drawer under the till awaiting collection.
