❤️🐾 FERN UPDATE – OUR BRAVE GIRL! 🐾❤️

We wanted to share a little update on our lovely Fern following her operation. ❤️

We’re pleased to say that Fern’s surgery went well! However, she gave everyone a bit of a scare afterwards when she started passing blood. Following a scan, which thankfully didn’t show anything obvious, the vets decided it would be best for Fern to stay overnight so they could keep a close eye on her. ❤️

We’re happy to report that Fern is now back home, where she’s on strict cage rest and being thoroughly spoilt by her favourite humans. 🥰🐾

She’s got some recovering to do, but we’re so relieved to have her safely through her operation and back where she belongs.

We also want to say a HUGE thank you to everyone who has donated towards Fern’s veterinary costs, sent lovely messages and wished her well. Your kindness and generosity really do mean the world to us, and make it possible for us to give dogs like Fern the care they deserve. ❤️

We’ll keep you updated on her recovery, but for now, it’s plenty of rest, cuddles and TLC for our special girl.

🐾💕 Welcome to the CAESSR family, Belle! 💕🐾

Everyone, meet beautiful little Belle! 🥰

Belle is a 2-year-old Show Cocker Spaniel, and isn’t she just adorable?! ❤️ She’s such a tiny little girl!

Belle has recently joined the CAESSR family and is currently settling into her foster home, where she’ll be spending some time getting her paws under the table while we get to know her a little better. 🏡🐾

She’s currently under assessment, so we’re not accepting adoption applications or enquiries for Belle just yet.

For now, we just wanted to introduce our gorgeous new arrival and give her the warm CAESSR welcome she deserves! ❤️

BUSY DAY OUT 🐓THE KRAY TWINS OF CAESSR 🐓

Meet Ronnie and Reggie. No East End crime empire, no dodgy dealings, and definitely no protection rackets… although they might try to negotiate an extra biscuit or two! 😂🐾

These boys might have a few more miles on the clock, but don’t let that fool you. They’re still full of character, still have plenty of love to give, and still deserve someone to call their own.

Today they have met all kind of other animals and had a great run around 💨💨💨

💔 Let’s talk about the myths surrounding older dogs…

❌ “They’re too old to bond with a new owner.”
❤️ Nonsense! Older dogs can form wonderful, deep bonds with their new families. Love doesn’t come with an expiry date.

❌ “You won’t have them for long.”
❤️ None of us can predict the future, whatever our age. What we can do is give a dog the chance to enjoy the time ahead of them in a loving home.

❌ “Older dogs are boring.”
❤️ Have you met a spaniel?! 😂 They can still be playful, cheeky, affectionate and full of life. Older doesn’t mean they’ve forgotten how to have fun!

❌ “It’s better to get a younger dog.”
❤️ Younger isn’t automatically better. Older dogs have their own personalities, and what you see is often what you get. Many are past the puppy chaos and ready to enjoy life’s simple pleasures with you.

🐾 Ronnie and Reggie don’t need to rule the streets. They just need someone to rule their hearts. ❤️

Imagine spending your golden years waiting in rescue, watching other dogs find their families, simply because people keep scrolling past the older ones.

We want to change that.

Older dogs aren’t the leftovers. They’re not second best. And they certainly aren’t past their best.

They’re simply dogs who deserve a chance, just like every other dog.

So, who’s ready to give our boys their happily ever after? 🏡❤️

Ferns big day has arrived! Her pre op went well and she’s having her spay, mammary mass and tail removed today 🤕❤️‍🩹 thanks to your amazing support SO FAR we have raised just over £2,000 altogether including a £1,000 grant we applied for… if you can spare a donation for FERN, please head over to our just giving page below to help 🙏

Tomorrow is an important day for our lovely Fern, as she heads to the vets for her pre-operative appointment. 🐶💕

🐾 Ronnie & Reggie – Foster Home Update! 🐾

Remember these two handsome boys? ❤️

We’re delighted to share that Ronnie and Reggie, our lovely 10-year-old Cocker Spaniels, are settling in beautifully with their foster mum! 🏡🐶

Their little personalities are really starting to shine through. Ronnie is the sensible, affectionate big brother who loves a cuddle on the sofa, while Reggie is the cheeky one, often found proudly carrying a toy around and wiggling with excitement! ❤️

The boys have also been enjoying some adventures, including a trip into the village and a visit to the local RSPCA shop, where they were both very well behaved!

They’re enjoying their new surroundings, getting used to their routines and making themselves right at home.

It’s always lovely to see our rescue dogs beginning to relax and show their personalities in foster care. These two certainly seem to be finding their paws! 💚

A huge thank you to their wonderful foster mum for opening her heart and home to Ronnie and Reggie.

🐾 A little update on Chester 🐾

We've been overwhelmed by the lovely interest in Chester already! ❤️

However, Chester is still settling into our care and undergoing his assessments, so we are not accepting adoption applications for him just yet.

We'll let everyone know when he's ready to start looking for his forever home. Thank you for your patience and understanding! 🐶❤️

🐾 Welcome to CAESSR, Chester! ❤️

Today we welcomed the lovely Chester into our care. Chester is a gorgeous 7-year-old liver and white English Springer Spaniel, and what a happy little chap he is! 🥰

Not only is Chester a happy boy, but he’s also got lovely manners to go with that handsome face! ❤️

We had a foster home all lined up for Chester, but unfortunately, it fell through at the very last moment. So, for now, Chester has checked into Foster HQ, where he’s already making himself at home! 🐶❤️

Chester is currently undergoing assessment and is awaiting his veterinary check. Once these have been completed, he’ll soon be looking for his very own forever home. 🏡❤️

Chester’s arrival is another reminder of just how desperately we need more foster homes.

Fostering makes such a difference to the dogs who come into our care. It gives them somewhere safe, loving and comfortable to settle while we get to know them and work out their next steps.
