Easter opening times -

Good Friday 3rd - closed
Saturday 4th - 9am to 12.30pm as normal
Sunday 5th - closed as normal
Easter Monday 6th - closed
Tuesday 7th - open as normal 8.30am to 6pm.

Royal Mail price increase from Tuesday 7th (don’t shoot the messenger!!).
Any stamps bought before then at the current prices will still be valid.

New car tax prices from 1st April. If your car tax is due at the end of March then please renew by the 31st. Ant taxed after this date will be at the new price regardless of what your reminder says.

Emergency works by Severn Trent unfortunately means the entrance into Brough Lane from Longton Road is closed.
I’ve been told 1 or 2 days.
You can still get to us by coming down The Lea or park at the Toby Carvery and walk across.

Happy New Year everybody!

Just a bit of info below re cheque deposits. Unfortunately Lloyd Banking Group have made this ridiculous decision.
Lloyds, Halifax and Bank of Scotland are the banks concerned.
Rest assured customers of those banks will still be able to withdraw cash, pay in cash and check balances at the Post Office.

The last mince pie has been eaten so I’ll be closing at 1pm today! The final post collection will be at around 11.30am....

I’m having a bit of a break now so will be back open on Monday 29th at 8.30am.

As usual we have a great selection of cards, gift bags, gift wrap, gift boxes and more.
Christmas stamps (2nd class is fine, they are nearly half the price!) and Gift cards are now on sale too.
If you’ve decided to ‘cut back this year’, please don’t tell the man who sells cards and stamps 🤣

All parcels going overseas now need electronic customs details completing, we can help with that in branch. We’ll also give you the choice of all the carrier options available, Royal Mail, DPD, Parcelforce and Evri.

Unfortunately there are some fake £20 notes in circulation in the area so please be vigilant.

£100 worth were used at the Ash Green Fireworks night. A dark and very busy evening so easier to get rid of but a pretty low blow when it’s a fund raising night.
All the notes had the same serial number.

We are now selling the tickets for Ash Green School fireworks night.
Also, we have raffle tickets for the Animal Lifeline Christmas draw and we have the 2026 Animal Lifeline calendars for sale, just £4.

As we need to pass the money on directly we can only take cash payments for all the above (you can draw the cash with your card at the counter). No Apple Pay payments for these.
