I unashamedly pinched this from another ADI (I did ask first!) because it's excellent. A perfect summary of where we should be looking. The important thing to remember is to LOOK not STARE! Frequent checks is the key to reading situations in order proceed safely 👍

One car accessory I would thoroughly recommend to any new driver is to get a dash cam fitted to the front and rear of your car. The rear dash cam will often deter tailgaters and in the event of a shunt you have all the evidence you need for proof of fault. The front dash cam can also provide evidence of dangerous driving and It can often lower your insurance too. Mine was fitted by a local company that I would highly recommend. Just ask for Phil 👍
