As a CFR, you’ll respond to 999 emergencies in your local area often arriving within minutes to provide life-saving care before the ambulance crew arrives.

Time commitment - 20 hours per month.
Flexible hours

Training for the role - Pre Course eLearning - 4 days initial training plus some online training.

What you will need - Your own car and a full UK driving licence.

Yorkshire Ambulance Service is looking for Volunteer Community First Responders (CFRs) to help save lives across our communities.

As a CFR, you’ll respond to emergency calls in your local area, providing vital care in those crucial first minutes before an ambulance arrives.

✅ What you’ll need:

A commitment of at least 20 hours per month
Access to a car to respond to incidents
A full UK driving licence with less than 3 points

🎓 What we provide:

A comprehensive 4 day training course (delivered over weekends)
A suite of eLearning to support your development
Ongoing CPD and training opportunities
Bi-monthly scheme meetings for support, learning and requalification
