Planning to fly a drone? Before you get airborne, make sure you check that you are safe to fly.

Our airports are protected by a Flight Restriction Zone or FRZ, where it is illegal to fly a drone without permission, but applying to do so is straightforward.

📓Check out the guide for the airport where you want to fly including the FRZ
✍️24 hours before you want to fly, complete the notification form and email to the relevant airport
📞Call Air Traffic Services at the relevant airport if you need any help

We’re recruiting a Air Traffic Services Operational Assistant

Join our team at Stornoway Airport and play an important role in helping to keep aircraft movements safe and orderly, both in the air and on the ground.

As part of the Air Traffic Services team, you’ll provide flight information and meteorological information to pilots following full training. We’re looking for someone with excellent attention to detail, strong communication skills and the ability to stay focused under pressure.

We're looking for a Motor Transport Engineer to join the team at Stornoway Airport.

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced engineer to play a key role in maintaining and repairing our motor transport fleet and specialist equipment, helping to keep our airport operating safely and efficiently.

We're looking for someone with a recognised Motor Vehicle Apprenticeship or equivalent engineering experience, a full UK driving licence and the ability to obtain an LGV licence.
