The Hall was completed in 1510, although the garden moat predates the house and is probably of Saxon origin. Lady Tollemache, a Chelsea Gold Medallist, has worked tirelessly to restore the gardens at Helmingham to glory over the last 20 years. Today, the gardens are open to visitors who can relax and unwind in the beautiful rose, knot, herb, wild and kitchen gardens all set in a 400 acre deer park

. Helmingham hosts a number of exciting events each year including The Festival of Classic & Sports Cars, two Plant Heritage Plant Fairs Artisan Markets, Music in the Gardens and the Illuminated Light Trail.

Happy Father's Day!

Today we host Bond Appetite Band on the parterre for the second Music in the Gardens concert.

A reminder that the Gardens, Nourish Café and Shops are open to those with an event ticket only (tickets available on the gate).

It's set to be a beautiful day.

With sunshine and warm temperatures forecast, dogs on leads are very welcome; however, we kindly ask owners to bear in mind that much of the Parterre offers limited shade. Please consider whether your four-legged companion would be comfortable in the conditions before attending.

The garden team are in preparation mode on the parterre.

This Sunday we host Bond Appétit for our latest in the Music in the Gardens series.

The perfect Father's Day, a walk around the beautiful gardens, music from bond films live on the parterre and a tipple (or non-alcoholic drink) from the garden bar.

Bring a chair, blanket and even a picnic and enjoy a very talented large band surrounded by the beauty of the gardens.

Tickets available on our website (the same price as general admission!) or on the day for £2 extra.

We are open from 10, including Nourish Café Suffolk
Bar open from 1.30pm
Music begins at 2.30pm

Please note that as this is an event day you will need an event ticket to enjoy the gardens, shops and Nourish Café Suffolk

Good morning, and what a beautiful morning it is.

The sunshine has returned, and we're looking forward to welcoming J.S & The Lockerbillies back to Helmingham this afternoon for the first Music in the Gardens event of the season.

If last year's performance is anything to go by, expect a fantastic atmosphere on the Parterre, plenty of dancing, and an afternoon filled with energetic rock 'n' roll and rockabilly favourites.

Bring a chair or blanket, pack a picnic, or enjoy something from Nourish Café, then settle in for an afternoon of live music in the gardens.

Gardens open from 10am
Garden Bar opens from 1pm
J.S. & The Lockerbillies perform from 2.30pm

Tickets are available on the gate today.

Annual Membership holders receive free entry. Please have your membership card ready on arrival.
