Port Logan Fishpond Unique Visitor Attraction in Port Logan, Dumfries and Galloway, SW Scotland. It is the oldest and most unique natural marine 'aquarium' in the UK.

Port Logan Fishpond is a unique visitor attraction by the beach in Port Logan which is home to a wide range of sea fish and marine life including rays, cod, po***ck, turbot, mullet, starfish, lobsters, hermit crabs and more! The Fishpond is created from a natural feature of the rocky coastline and was originally used as a sea fish larder for the Laird of Logan. We also have a gift shop selling loc

al arts and crafts, a fishing tackle and bait shop, museum of local history and the ladies bathing pool. Open daily from 1st March 2026 from 10.30am to 5pm (last entry is 4.30pm). Check our recent posts for updated hours. Dogs on a lead are welcome and parking is free.

There’s lots to see, do and discover at Port Logan Fishpond and we are open daily from 10.30am to 5pm.

A recent visitor said 💬”We visited the pond on a bit of a cloudy day and was warmly welcomed to see the fish in the pond.
The gentleman took us down and starting telling us about all the different type of fish there was, he had so much passion and knowledge about the fish it was lovely to see.
We got to see him feed them and he took us into the cave and let us meet crabs, starfish and others.
The kids loved it! and so did I 🙂🙂”
