💧Earlier this week I met with
Shipston Area Flood Action Group (SAFAG), a brilliant community led volunteer group which aims to reduce the risk of flooding to homes and businesses through Natural Flood measures across the entire catchment of the River Stour in Warwickshire and beyond. The group has installed over 700 wooden dams and created ponds to slow the flow from tributaries into the Stour during periods of heavy rainfall. The meeting was also attended by representatives of Shipston Town Council and Save our Shipston, which is driving the campaign Say No to additional 3000+ houses

Free local bus travel is a vital lifeline for many disabled people.

After an almost two-year campaign the Government has finally listened to Liberal Democrat calls to stop restrictions to disabled bus passes.

Disabilities don’t start at 9.30am. Neither should disabled bus passes.

🗣On the 2nd September we have a debate on the Representation of the People Bill which looks at defending and strengthening our democracy. I will be speaking, so tune in!

Incident update 13/8/26 9pm

Warwickshire Fire and Rescue Service is still in attendance at the incident at Salford Priors but this is no longer declared a major incident.
The A46 is now open to traffic in both directions between Salford Bridge and Arrow Services.
Please continue to keep windows and doors closed and avoid the area where possible.
