It’s Ghana be a belter of a match this evening!

We’ll have extra officers out on the streets to make sure everyone can enjoy the game safely and we’re asking you all to keep these things in mind.

• Know your limits and stay in control, make sure you're drinking plenty of water
• Look out for your mates, make sure they get home safely
• If it looks like trouble, just walk away

Please be aware there is currently a large emergency services presence at the junction of Guild Street and Union Street In the town.

It follows multiple reports of a single vehicle collision that came in to our control room around 12.10am. A pedestrian is understood to have been hit by the driver of the car and Officialwmas is currently checking them both over while our officers remain on the scene managing the incident. Please avoid the area if you can.

We want to hear from you, Stratford!

Because you know your neighbourhood better than anyone.

Are you concerned about:

• antisocial behaviour in the park?
• cars speeding through the town?
• or are you concerned about drug dealing in your neighbourhood?

Do the two minute survey and tell us your policing priorities for Stratford. Thanks to the feedback we’ve received so far, you’re already helping us make where you live a safer place for you, your family, and local businesses:

• In the town centre we’re listening and are targeting Bridgeway Multistorey Car Park, dispersing disruptive motorbike and car gatherings.

• You told us that street drinking around the Shakespeare memorial fountain was a key concern. In response, we issued a PSPO (Public Space Protection Order) across the town, giving us the power to seize alcohol and disperse intoxicated individuals, making the marketplace a safer place for shoppers, businesses and visitors.

• You also told us your concerns about burglary and vehicle crime around Shottery and Tiddington. In response, we’ve increased patrols, conducted enquiries and arrested 3 people in connection with a burglary, and shared crime prevention advice with residents.

Sunny afternoon today in Southam, where we watched the Parachute Regiment take part in a stretcher race through the town.

Later, we had the privilege of seeing members of the parachute regiment jump from a plane, which was a fantastic sight.

This week in Stratford, as part of Neighbourhood Policing Week, the Safer Neighbourhood Team targeted an address believed to be linked to county lines drug sales and cuckooing.

Cuckooing is when the address of a vulnerable person is used as a base for other criminal activities, for example drug sales.

Someone who was already banned from the address was discovered inside and has been reported to the managers of the property.

We also discovered a hatchet by the side of the bed.

At this time, we have serious doubts as to whether the hatchet was being kept for its intended purpose of chopping wood.

Although no drugs other than 100 unidentified tablets and a small quantity of cannabis were discovered on this occasion, we know that interventions like these significantly disrupt the ability of drug dealers to operate and drive them away from our neighbourhoods.

Enough is enough.

Working with partner agencies and local residents, your Safer Neighbourhood Team has successfully secured Closure Orders on two properties on Masons Road, Bishopton under the Anti-Social Behaviour, Crime and Policing Act 2014.

These addresses have been linked to persistent anti-social behaviour, causing significant disruption and distress to the local community.

The Closure Orders prohibit access to the properties and send a clear message that this type of behaviour will not be tolerated.

We are committed to protecting our communities and taking robust action against those who make life miserable for others. If you choose to engage in anti-social behaviour, criminality, or activities that negatively impact your neighbours, expect us to use every power available to us.

Thank you to the residents who came forward with information and supported this action. Your reports make a difference.

We hear you. We act. We will continue to make Stratford-upon-Avon a safer place for everyone.

Knock, knock... but we didn't wait for an answer!

Officers from the Stratford-upon-Avon Safer Neighbourhood Team, joined by colleagues from across a number of policing teams, executed a warrant at a flat in Bishopton today.

After making entry, officers discovered a quantity of suspected Class B drugs along with drug-related paraphernalia.

A reminder that while some people collect souvenirs, we'd much rather not find this sort of collection.

Information from our communities continues to play a vital role in helping us tackle drug-related activity and keep our neighbourhoods safe. If you have concerns about criminality where you live, please report it to us.

Friday evening we hosted Stratford Walk with us ( VAWG Walk).

We met outside Royal Shakespeare Theatre. Our walk took us to Stratford Marina, then onto the Nature Reserve, we did the loop and finished back at the start, exactly 2 miles.

We discussed, places we felt uneasy walking, suggestions for future walks, seen some beautiful cygnets with mum and had a good old chat.
