On Sunday, we are looking forward to welcoming the fifth and final stage of the Women’s Tour of Britain – a cycling race due to start and finish in Leamington Spa, outside the Warwickshire Justice Centre.

The roads in South Warwickshire on Sunday 23 August may be affected by the race, so please bear this in mind when you are planning your journeys.

The route will take the cyclists up towards Kenilworth before heading across and down towards Southam.

It will then go down to Shipston-on-Stour, before routing north through Wellesbourne and back into Leamington Spa, where it will finish outside the Warwickshire Justice Centre.

Another Sunday, another event at the British Motor Museum. This time it was the Ultimate German Car Meet! 🇩🇪

A nice sunny day to join our colleagues from Southam Police and Stratford Police to patrol the event and engage with visitors. It was great to see so many enthusiasts enjoying the event responsibly and safely.

Our thanks to all who helped make this a successful event, with only one report of anti-social driving in the area following the event 🚗

The road has now reopened and investigations are ongoing.

We currently have officers on the B4455 Fosse Way near Moreton Paddox responding to a serious collision involving the drivers of a tractor and a car.

The road is currently closed between the junction for Compton Verney and the Fiveways roundabout. Please avoid the area if you can and follow any diversions put in place.

📍 Joint Licensing Operation in the Community

Southam Police were recently joined by colleagues from Stratford-on-Avon District Council, Stratford Police and Wellesbourne Police to carry out a licensing compliance operation across local licensed premises.

The purpose of the operation was to check compliance with liquor licensing conditions, engage with business owners, and identify any breaches requiring further action. Where concerns were identified, these will be followed up with the relevant premises to ensure compliance and help maintain high standards across the area.

These proactive checks form part of our commitment under the Safer Streets Initiative and the Neighbourhood Policing Guarantee, ensuring licensed premises operate responsibly and helping to keep our communities safe, vibrant and welcoming for everyone.

We would like to thank the licence holders and staff who engaged positively with officers during the operation.

🚔 ASB Awareness Week – Wellesbourne SNT

This week we've been out and about tackling anti-social behaviour and engaging with our communities across the area.

✅ Proactive patrols at Burton Dassett Hills Country Park, speaking with visitors and promoting responsible use of the site.

✅ High-visibility patrols in Wellesbourne hotspots, identifying and dealing with youths involved in anti-social behaviour.

✅ Attended Shotteswell Village Fete, meeting residents, discussing local concerns, and promoting Warwickshire Connected (sign up for free at https://warwickshireconnected.com/ to learn about what we're up to in your area)
