When a Reform UK candidate says they will get the job done, they mean it.

Cllr Waterworth is setting the stall out and showing residents across Trafford exactly what Vote Reform, Get Reform really means. Over the next few months you will see councillors pop up, start door knocking and asking for your votes but think back to their four years in their seat… what have they done for residents in your area? How accessible are they? How visible are they?

🚨 100 DAYS OF ACTION — BUCKLOW-ST MARTINS

Just a little over 100 days ago, residents of Bucklow-St Martins elected me as their Reform UK councillor.

I made a promise: I would be visible, accessible and relentless in fighting for residents.

100 days later, the numbers speak for themselves.

📍 478 cases/concerns raised and actioned for residents

🔹Partington — 377 cases
🔹Carrington — 85 cases
🔹Sale — 16 cases

And these aren’t just numbers on a spreadsheet.

These are 478 occasions where residents needed someone to listen, take action and keep pushing until something happened.

While the two other Bucklow-St Martins councillors sit on the Labour benches, residents deserve to see their councillors working for them — not disappearing after election day.

You don’t have to take my word for it. Look at the work. Look at the results.

💥Community bins emptied
💥 Road repairs completed
💥 Road defects assessed and earmarked for future repairs
💥 Planning concerns raised and answers obtained
💥 Fly-tipping reported and cleared
💥 Overgrown vegetation reported and cleared
💥 Blocked drains cleared
💥 Abandoned vehicle reported and removed
💥 Bee Network service failures challenged
💥 Vulnerable residents supported with housing problems
💥 Heath Farm residents supported on numerous issues
💥 Local community groups supported

And when contractors aren’t doing their job properly, I don’t just accept it.

I challenged Amey over bins being left out after collection rather than returned to residents’ homes. The issue was actioned and resolved.

🚔 WORKING WITH GMP

I’ve established a strong line of communication with Greater Manchester Police regarding off-road bikes, helping ensure problems can be raised and acted upon quickly.

🏛️ HOLDING LABOUR TO ACCOUNT

Following the Trafford Council Ofsted report, I spoke in the council chamber and held the Labour administration to account.

Being a councillor isn’t about turning up, collecting the allowance and disappearing.

It’s about scrutiny. It’s about accountability. It’s about getting results.

🚧 CARRINGTON

I’ve supported residents raising objections to the Carrington Relief Road and supported objections concerning warehouse planning proposals in Carrington.

Residents deserve a councillor who will stand alongside them when major developments threaten to change their communities.

🌉 WARBURTON TOLL BRIDGE

I’ve raised numerous complaints concerning the Warburton Toll Bridge, including cases involving fines.

In numerous cases, fines have been cancelled following representations made on behalf of residents.

This is what “Vote Reform. Get Reform” looks like. I didn’t stand for election to be another invisible councillor. I stood because I believe residents deserve representation that actually represents them.

📨 You raise an issue — I pursue it.
🏛️ The council gets it wrong — I challenge it.
🚧 A service fails — I will demand answers.

And I’m only 100 days in. The Labour administration may be comfortable with the status quo. I’m not.

I will continue to challenge, continue to raise cases, continue to build relationships with the people who can actually resolve problems — and most importantly, continue to fight for the residents of Bucklow-St Martins.

Having entered politics a couple of years ago from the world of business, there was a veteran politician with whom I met regularly.

Someone I had immense respect for and would invariably offer counsel and wisdom which I found incredibly helpful.

I found it remarkable that someone so diminutive in stature could be such a towering presence in any room.

We would discuss challenges and opportunities.
�Ann Widdecombe always had time to discuss things in detail, was genuinely motivated to help, and her presence radiated empathy and warmth.

I could also be assured that where she disagreed with a view that I had, she would be direct and forthright in explaining why.

I recall being struck by just how relevant the wisdom of a lady in her late seventies still was in this hyper-modern era.

I will always be grateful to Ann and remember those lunches and long tea meetings at Reform HQ with immense fondness.

She gave so much to this country.

Her multi-decade Parliamentary career, during which she held key ministerial positions means she permanently altered the course of history in this country.

Her legacy is to be one of the most formidable and courageous voices in the upholding of law and order, and to be widely considered a national treasure.

The last lunch we had ended with her enthusiastically saying she would write up some of her advice on sentencing reform, based on her vast experience.

I am so sad I shall never get to read it, nor enjoy such a lunch again.

I am honoured to have been invited to join the Royal British Legion Councillors Network and to champion the interests of veterans, serving personnel and their families.

Supporting our Armed Forces community should never be a political issue — it is a responsibility we all share. We must never forget the sacrifices made by those who have served, and those who continue to serve, our country with courage and dedication.

I am very much looking forward to attending my first meeting with the Royal British Legion and getting stuck in.

Being your local councillor is about far more than potholes and blocked drains. While those day-to-day issues matter, it’s also about supporting people, strengthening our communities and ensuring that nobody is overlooked. From veterans and military families to the most vulnerable members of our community, I am committed to being a voice for everyone.

Together, we can continue to show our gratitude, support and respect for those who have given so much for our nation 🇬🇧🩵

📣 Weekly Update 📣

🛣️ Next week I will be meeting with a team in Transport and Planning regarding the new road plans and I have all your objections ready to go. I have already raise 1 complaint on behalf of you all but every email you send in objection to these plans makes the voice stronger so please do keep sending those over.

🌳 I want to acknowledge and thank Partington Parish Council for having the team tend to The Green in Partington, the grass there is now cut and looks much better.
