Over the past year, we've invested in homes, improved services and worked with residents to make a positive difference across our communities.

Thank you to everyone who has shared feedback, completed surveys, attended events or taken the time to tell us what matters to them. Your ideas and experiences help shape our services and influence the improvements we make.

Looking for ways to keep your children entertained this October half-term 🍂 ✨

Gloucestershire County Council is organising a countywide programme that provides children and young people with opportunities to enjoy healthy meals and stay active for free 🎊

Bookable activities include multi-sports camps in Cashes Green and Stonehouse, Sportily pop-up sports and games sessions in Minchinhampton, and Go Wild with World Jungle events in Cam and Stroud, and many more. 🎉

Join one of our resident workshops and tell us what's working well, what could be improved, and what matters most to you. Your feedback will help us focus on the improvements that make a difference for residents.

To make it easier for residents to attend, we're running two sessions so you can choose the one that suits you best.
📅 Session 1: 20 October 2026 | 10am-12pm | Stroud
📅 Session 2: 21 October 2026 | 5.30-7.30pm | Stroud

☕ Tea and coffee will be available at both sessions. Cake will be served at the daytime session, and a light meal will be provided at the evening session. We will cover the cost of parking, mileage and public transport.

This Fire Door Safety Week, we're reminding residents to keep fire doors shut and never wedge them open.

Fire doors help slow the spread of fire and smoke, protecting escape routes and giving people valuable time to get to safety.

🟣 ASB Awareness Week 🟣

Recently, we invited tenants to meet local organisations that support people affected by crime and anti-social behaviour (ASB).

Representatives from Victim Support, Restorative Gloucestershire and ASB Operations were on hand to explain the free and confidential help they offer. Many of our tenants already use the ASB App, so it was a great chance to ask questions and learn more about the support available.

The event helped tenants find out how these organisations work together to help people feel safer and more supported in their neighbourhoods 💚

Sandra, one of our involved tenants, said:
🗨️ "It was great to meet people from different organisations and learn about the work they do during Anti-social Behaviour Week.

"I found it very informative. Everyone was friendly and easy to talk to. It was good to see how these organisations work together to help make our communities safer and nicer places to live."

Reported to us ... we sorted it 👨‍⚖️

🚨 Council takes action on anti-social behaviour 🚨

Stroud District Council has secured an Anti-social Behaviour (ASB) injunction with a power of arrest following repeated incidents at St Nicholas Court, an Independent Living scheme in Hardwicke.

The injunction was granted by the courts in June 2026 and relates to an individual who is not a tenant but had been causing disruption at the scheme.

This case shows how our Report It to Sort It approach works. By reporting concerns, residents helped our housing team and Gloucestershire Constabulary gather evidence and take action to protect the wider community.

Cllr Gary Luff, Chair of the council's Housing Committee, said:
💬 "We want our tenants to know that when they report anti-social behaviour to us, we will take it seriously and we will act. This case is a strong example of our Report It to Sort It approach in action, helping us keep our communities safe and respectful places to live."

Did you know you can report noise nuisance using the ASB App? It allows residents to submit real-time audio recordings directly to the Council, helping officers assess issues quickly and accurately without needing to call at the time of disturbance. The ASB App is popular with tenants.

Noise nuisance is one of the most common ASB concerns reported to councils. We assess reports carefully, gather evidence, and take proportionate action, from early interventions to formal enforcement where necessary, to help restore peace in our communities.
