Sad and very shocking news - if anyone has any information, please come forward.

Police are appealing for information after an 18-year-old woman was sexually assaulted while walking through St Mary's churchyard in Painswick.

The attack happened around 6.30am on Saturday 25 June after the teenager was dropped off in a taxi.

She has described her attacker as white, with tanned skin, in his early 50s, around 5ft 10inchs, 'skinny but with a big belly' and wearing blue jeans and a red and white striped t-shirt.

Officers want to hear in particular from a man who the taxi driver asked for directions in Painswick shortly before the victim was dropped off.
