🔥🔥🚒🚒Please can you be mindful when parking near the The Mill hotel. As you can see it’s very tight and had to get the crew off the pump to get past. This could costs valuable time responding to incidents. We are hoping the highways or council will put double yellow lines on the left soon.

Fire stations in Bedfordshire, Sussex and other parts of the UK have recently been targeted by thieves stealing essential lifesaving equipment. These incidents involve the theft of hydraulic rescue tools that firefighters rely on to free people from life threatening situations.

We are taking every precaution possible, but we’re also asking our communities to stay alert.

If you live or work near a fire station, please help us by keeping an eye out for anything out of place - unfamiliar vehicles, people loitering, or activity at unusual hours.

If something doesn’t look right, please do NOT attempt to intervene - your safety comes first. Instead, please do one of the following:

🚨 Call 999 if a crime is in progress.
📞 Call 101 with any information that may help police.

This afternoon both appliances from Sudbury and one from Long Melford were called to the former Delphi site. The last remaining building (security office) had a small fire within, believed to have been started deliberately.

Shorty after one Sudbury appliance was sent to friars meadow In Sudbury for another fire started deliberately.

Every minute we are attending deliberate incidents like these, is a minute we are not available for those who really need us!
