Onwards and upwards! 💙

Down - but not out.

You don’t become a Conservative in Sunderland because you expect to win every time. You don’t become a Conservative in Sunderland because you expect an easy ride of things.

🔵 Hard work.
🔵 Caring for our local communities.
🔵 Believing in a transparent and efficient Sunderland City Council.

These are what we believe in. This is what we stand on.

Before I sign off for tonight I would just like to thank everyone for their kind words of support and thanks.

I became a Councillor in 2023 with the intention of supporting residents in St Michael’s and improving the quality of living where we do. I aligned myself to a political party which is closest to my personal values - and still is. That absolutely will not change.

I’ve gained many friends from across the political spectrum - I will keep them because politics is an opinion. Friends are much more important than that.

I’m sorry that I won’t be able to continue to help people in Tunstall & Humbledon with the drug dealing. The bins. The blocked drains. The ASB. The pot holes. The parking. The w**d farms. I could go on.

I won’t miss the late night meetings. The personal digs. The messages that land on my personal phone the moment I arrive on holiday - telling me how useless I am.
The public slating at Residents Meeting for not ‘championing’ people after years of hard work.
The ‘Councillors are 💩 - they do nothing and get paid loads!’ 🤦🏼‍♀️ moments.
But that’s what happens when you stick your head up above the parapet and I accept that.

I wish the new Councillors good luck - they’ll need it. But I’m happy to be able to spend more time with my family now and look forward to continuing to work with our great team and Cllr Antony Mullen who has been an absolute rock!

Thank you for allowing me the pleasure of being your Councillor.

We know that Silksworth Lane is dangerous and congested. People struggle to cross the road, get out of their streets and this is all set to get worse with the development.

We’re working with local residents to improve Silksworth Lane and make the area safer.

On Thursday 7th May, vote for a team you can trust.

In Sunderland, the roads are a mess. Potholes, broken roads uneven pavements - and things aren’t getting better.

On Thursday 7th May, vote for a team that has a track record of investing in local roads.

One party in these local elections wants to legalise all drugs.

We, on the other hand, want to crack down on drug dealing, off road bikers and antisocial behaviour.

We’ve already got several drug dens shut down in the area and invested in drones to catch off road bikers - but there is always more to do.

Only a vote for the Local Conservatives can make sure we keep up this progress.

Vote for a team you can trust.
