Kepier Hall a historic well-located accessible venue for all your events in Houghton-le-Spring various size rooms always available for short or long term rent.

The Kepier Hall is an events venue in Houghton-le-Spring. This historic building has served the community for 500 years and is available for all kinds of functions – we can cater for conferences, weddings, christenings, birthdays and meetings. The main hall has a capacity of 120 for formal seated events and 180 for informal events such as birthday parties. There are smaller rooms available with a

capacity of 30. The Hall has full disabled access and a car park with room for 20 cars and ample free parking within 2 minutes walk of the venue.

🏛️ Kepier Hall – a place full of history, community and memories! 💙

Nestled within the ancient church grounds of St Michael and All Angels Church, Kepier Hall is a truly special part of our local heritage. Dating back to 1574, the hall is a Grade II listed building, making it not only a hub for our community today, but also a building with centuries of history behind it.

Over the years, the hall has been home to countless community groups, activities and services, as well as being the backdrop for parties, celebrations, meetings and many special occasions. 🎉

From family celebrations and memorable milestones to the many people who have walked through its doors to meet others, learn something new, access support or simply be part of their community — Kepier Hall has played a special part in the lives of so many people.

PLEASE NOTE

Today (Monday 13th of July) and Friday (17th of July) our community foodstore at Kepier Hall will be open ONLY from 2.30pm-3.30pm on Monday and then from 9.30am-10.30am on Friday the 17th.

Please make sure to avoid disappointment and ensure you arrive with plenty of time to get your shopping.

📍Free Circle Dance at Kepier Hall– Now Twice a Month!💜

Thanks to funding from Sport England, HOPS is offering two FREE Circle Dance sessions every month and our next session is this Saturday July 4th!

Circle Dance is a gentle, enjoyable form of movement that brings people together through simple dances from around the world. No experience is needed – just come along and join in at your own pace.

- Gentle, accessible movement
- Meet new people and make social connections
- Support your physical and mental wellbeing
- Suitable for all abilities

Whether you're looking to become more active, reconnect with movement, or simply enjoy a friendly and welcoming group, you'll be made very welcome.

⌚️First Saturday of every month: 1.30pm – 2.30pm
⌚️Third Tuesday of every month (next session Tuesday July 21st): 2.00pm – 4.00pm

John Hirst called into The Kepier Hall for a cup of coffee ans a brief rest on his Happy Hippy Campus Hike from Newcastle to Norton. On Wednesday he presented Fiona Burrell from Alzheimer's Research UK a cheque for £2,500 raised for the charity,

We welcomed John Hirst and fellow walkers Liz, Sandra and Doreen. John is walking 70 miles to raise funds for the Alzheimer's Society. On his travels John called at the Kepier for a welcome pit stop and a warm brew.

We wish him well for his endeavours and hope he raises a good amount for this worthwhile cause.
