Local Conservatives recently successfully campaigned to save our green belt when all 17 local sites identified for potential development were dropped from the final version of Birmingham City Council's Local Plan, which now prioritises brownfield development instead.

But we haven't stopped there.

We are also continuing to fight for more of our local green spaces and are calling on Birmingham City Council to:

🌳 Scrap its proposed parking charges in Sutton Park

🌳 Place Sutton Park into a charitable trust to safeguard its future

🌳Transfer 13 local parks and green spaces from Birmingham to Royal Sutton Coldfield Town Council

Only Local Conservatives are fighting for our local parks and green spaces.

The message is clear, a vote for anyone else just risks another four years of disastrous 'bankrupt' Labour Birmingham.

Only a vote for Local Conservatives this Thursday can get rid of Labour and deliver for Royal Sutton Coldfield.

29/04/2026

When Labour tried to close our libraries, it was the Conservative-led Royal Sutton Coldfield Town Council which saved them.

Only a vote 🗳️for Local Conservatives on May 7th will protect our local services.

27/04/2026

Only Local Conservatives 🔵 have a record of delivery, this May 7th, don't risk your vote 🗳️ with another party.

24/04/2026

Bankrupt Labour Birmingham has let our roads fall into disrepair with countless potholes🕳️ while ending weekly bin collections, allowing rubbish to pile up our streets causing rats🐭 in some cases.

Only YOUR Local Conservatives 🔵 have a plan to keep bin collection weekly and will fix our roads 🛠️

On May 7th, vote Local Conservative for a cleaner and driveable Royal Sutton Coldfield 🗳️

✍️📍Local Election Message

The Local Elections are less than two weeks away and postal vote letters are now being delivered across the ward.

I have worked hard to deliver projects and fix problems for our area over the past four years.

The time has now come when I need to ask for YOUR support.

The local elections on May 7th are not about national politics. They are about local issues that happen right outside your front door, every day when you wake up and go to work or take the kids to school.

Along with local resident and campaigner Martin Clarke I am proud of my record of LOCAL delivery and LOCAL action all year round.

But there is still much more to do.

Residents will soon be receiving a letter from myself listing Ten Local Reasons why it’s so important for me to continue my work after May 7th to improve the area, because I haven’t finished yet.

✅ From backing petitions to improve the traffic issues outside New Hall Cemetery and leading the campaign to save more of our green belt under threat of development

✅ From holding Langley developers to account and working with Good Hope Hospital to build a new multi storey car park.

✅ And I continue to work tirelessly behind the scenes to get Falcon Lodge Community Centre re-opened. I am extremely hopeful that you will be hearing some good news about this soon after the elections, but I do not regard myself as a politician and I will never make promises without being sure of the outcome first.

These important local issues - and many more - will continue long after May 7th, but I need your support to ensure I will still be here two weeks today to champion the area, speak up for you and your families, and continue to make improvements.

Thank you 😊
Richard
