🌱Join the Environmental Education Project at Rosliston Forestry Centre SDDC for fun in the forest. Perfect for tiny tots and their parents, guardians or childminders to connect, create & explore together in nature.

🌱🌳🎨Enjoy outdoor play with your littles ones in our private wood and sheltered area through hands on craft, guided sensory play, exploring nature and fun in our mud kitchen.
🕥Wednesday 9th September 10.30-11.30am.
💷£6 per child and £4.50 for siblings or £4.50 per child for group bookings of 5 or more.

🌳🍂Bring learning to life Beyond the Classroom this Autumn with the Environmental Education Project at Rosliston Forestry Centre SDDC

👩🏼‍🏫Teachers and Home educators: Are you looking to inspire your pupils with hands-on, outdoor learning this Autumn term? Bring your group to Rosliston Forestry Centre and take part in a range of outdoor learning sessions with the EEP team, designed to ignite curiosity and connect children with nature.
Some of our Autumn sessions include:

🛖Shelter building: Learn how to safely construct your own den in the woods. Hands on engineering, problem solving and team work.

🦇Light & Dark: Focuses on the difference between nocturnal and diurnal animals and how they are adapted to their habitats. Features games and activities exploring the senses.

🐿️Preparing for Winter: Discover how wildlife (flora and fauna) at Rosliston Forestry Centre adapts and prepares as winter approaches. Games and activities exploring hibernation, seasonal change and migration

🔎Nature Detectives: Explore various habitats on site looking for animal tracks and droppings, minibeasts and other signs to solve nature's mysteries.

🌳The Secret Life of Trees: Uncover the hidden world of trees from seasonal changes, to how they adapt and provide homes for a multitude of creatures.

🔎All our sessions can be adapted to suit your topics and learners and are run by experienced teachers and facilitators.

🍁Autumn is such a special time of year to experience the woods. Join the Environmental Education Project at Rosliston Forestry Centre SDDC through an immersive journey in nature in our 'Woodland Experience' sessions.

🌳Explore the woods and create mini shelters for our woodland friends
🏃🏼‍♀️‍➡️Play games amongst the trees
🤔Problem solving and team work challenges ( choose creative, or basic bushcraft skills)

🌳Explore natural principals and systems to design our lives, navigate change and achieve personal goals.
🌳Workshops take place in our forest classroom with some observations and activities out in nature for inspiration.
