PCSO Hawksowrth and PCSO Hodgkinson spent the morning at Fairmeadows Foundation Primary School in Newhall.
The children had so much fun trying on police uniform and looking inside the police van. PCSO Hawksworth read them all a story called ' Sparkles passenger pals' to educate children on the importance of wearing a seatbelt in the car.

Officers at Swadlincote Safer Neighbourhood team often visit primary schools in the local area, this gives children a chance to meet the local team ๐Ÿ‘‹๐Ÿผ

| Appeal to identify man in CCTV following burglary

Officers investigating a burglary have released pictures of a man we would like to speak with in connection with the incident.

The incident happened when a suspect gained access to a home in Regent Street, Church Gresley between 1.43am and 2.12am on Monday 20 April and stole a set of car keys.

They then drove off with the ownerโ€™s Blue BMW 4 Series from the driveway.

The stolen vehicle was then stored in a disused garage in Edward Street.

Officers were alerted to this and attended to recover the vehicle.

After the vehicle had been taken away, CCTV captured a man visiting the garage who is then seen to lift up the garage door, saw the car was no longer there and ran away from the scene towards in the direction of Goseley Avenue.

The man was spotted in the area on Monday 20 April at about 12.22pm.

Officers have now released pictures of the man who was seen in the area and we are appealing for anyone who knows who he is to please contact us.

We appreciate the manโ€™s face is partially or fully covered in the images but we are hoping someone may be able to recognise him from his clothing or appearance.

Information can be passed to us using one of the methods below and please quote incident reference 26*224653.

A 25-year-old man and a 26-year-old woman have been arrested on suspicion of burglary in relation to the incident and have been released on bail whist enquiries continue.

A male who persistently caused issues within Albert Road, Church Gresley, Swadlincote has been evicted following an investigation conducted by PC Murray from your local beat team, alongside working with the housing department based in South Derbyshire District Council (SDDC).

Luke BENNETT 36 years old previously of Albert Road, was issued a restraining order against one neighbour following a court conviction, however he then turned his attention to his elderly neighbours by subjecting them to abuse, and anti social behaviour.

This accumulated in him using derogatory language, playing loud music and banging on the walls which resulted in the officer formally issuing BENNETT with a Community Protection Notice and consequently summoning him to court following him breaching this.
His behaviour continued and following his arrest for harassment, he was charged by the officer for those matters against his neighbours resulting in another conviction.

The officer continued to liaise with the housing department within SDDC to collate evidence which led to BENNETT being issued with an unlimited lifetime injunction, and he is now evicted from the address, alongside him no longer being permitted to be on Albert Road, Church Gresley, Swadlincote.

Swadlincote SNT will continue to work with respective agencies to ensure that those that are affecting the quality of life for residents in our community are brought to justice.
