The Hawkstone Farmers Choir

This is Hugh Thomas, a sunflower farmer from Pembrokeshire.

The 75-year-old was part of the Hawkstone Farmers’ Choir - put together by Jeremy Clarkson - which won the TV competition in May.

After previously receiving a “shock” diagnosis of cardiovascular disease and undergoing a triple bypass, Hugh said he wanted to encourage farmers to seek medical help when needed and not “hold back” as he had in the past.

🗣️Earlier today, our Minister, Llŷr Gruffydd answered his first Oral Questions as Minister for Rural Resilience and Sustainability.

Fe wnaethon ni ddal i fyny ag ef wedyn i ddarganfod sut aeth hi.

Roedd y Gweinidog Gwledig Llŷr Gruffydd yn falch o gwrdd â Sharon Hammond, Cadeirydd Bwrdd y Rhaglen TB mewn Gwartheg, ac aelodau'r Bwrdd gan gynnwys yr Athro Glyn Hewinson, Cadeirydd y Grŵp Cynghori Technegol ar TB.

Rural Minister Llŷr Gruffydd was pleased to meet Sharon Hammond, Chair of the Bovine TB Programme Board, and Board members incl. Prof Glyn Hewinson (Chair, TB Technical Advisory Group).

Byddwn yn gweithio gydag arbenigedd y ddau grŵp ac yn manteisio arno wrth inni weithredu dull newydd o reoli TB mewn gwartheg.

We’ll work with, and draw on the expertise of both groups as we implement a new approach to managing bovine TB.
