✅Following the recent dry summer, this year farmers are allowed to spread slurry on their land until 15 November 2026.

❌This does not apply to poultry manure.

You must not spread more than 30 cubic metres per hectare.

You must wait at least 3 weeks between each spreading.

Roedd Gweinidog y Cabinet dros Wydnwch Gwledig a Chynaliadwyedd, Llyr Gruffydd, yn falch o annerch cyfarfod cyffredinol blynyddol Farmers' Union of Wales.

Amlinellodd ei flaenoriaethau ar gyfer ffermio yng Nghymru: darparu sicrwydd, hyblygrwydd a chymorth yn wyneb hinsawdd sy'n newid.

Cabinet Minister for Rural Resilience and Sustainability, Llyr Gruffydd, was pleased to address the Farmers' Union of Wales annual general meeting.

He outlined his priorities for Welsh farming: providing certainty, flexibility and support in the face of a changing climate.

Prepare now, don't wait: Every bird keeper in Wales, whether they keep a few pet birds or a large commercial flock, should act to protect their birds from Bird Flu now, not wait until the risk increases.

🗣️ Chief Vet, Dr Richard Irvine: "Simple, consistent measures, such as keeping bird areas and housing clean, limiting unnecessary visitors, and preventing contact with wild birds, all help reduce the risk of disease getting in."
