What an amazing day at Cardiff Half Marathon yesterday. The runners were amazing!

A huge thanks to ProActive Chiropractic for their support of our runners at offering their massage services for our runners in the event Village.

Am ddiwrnod gwych yn Hanner Caerdydd ddoe. Roedd rhedwyr yn anhygoel!

Every one of the 63 people who died while homeless in Wales last year represents a human tragedy. Every one also highlights our collective failure to bring an end to the housing emergency in Wales. Our failure to ensure that people can access the safe, secure, suitable and genuinely affordable home they need.

This has to change. We cannot continue to live in a nation where at least one person every week dies while experiencing the trauma of homelessness. Especially as Museum of Homelessness have stated that the figures are likely an undercount of the amount of people who are losing their lives.

These people were far too young to die. The average life expectancy for people experiencing homelessness is significantly lower.

We can't go on like this. This is why we continue to urge the Welsh Government to take urgent action to expand the supply of social homes, tackle unaffordable and insecure private renting and legislate for every one to have the right to an adequate home. But today we also urge everyone, politicians and others, to reflect on this tragedy and to think about how we can all work towards the end of the housing emergency once and for all.
