🏉 Year 7 Rugby

Tonight, our Year 7 boys put in an excellent performance, showing great defensive effort and determination, tackling right up until the final whistle! Their hard work and teamwork paid off, earning them a convincing win.

Mr Griffiths said it was fantastic to see so many boys representing the school rugby team and would like to remind all Year 7 pupils that training takes place every Monday after school. After such a great effort tonight, you’ve earned next Monday off for half-term! 😂😂 Enjoy the break, boys, and well done to everyone who played!🖤❤️

A huge well done to our Year 8 football team following their match against a strong Bishop Gore side.

The boys battled hard throughout the game, showed great determination and teamwork, and represented the school exceptionally well. Despite the result not going our way, a fantastic effort from everyone involved, with plenty of positives to take away.

Well done, boys! 👏⚽

Ahh… here comes the sneeze! 🤧

You know the drill:
🤧 Catch it in a tissue
🗑️ Bin it
🧼 Wash your hands
💪No tissue? Your elbow will do.

It’s a small thing, but it can help keep winter bugs from spreading.

🏐 Year 7 & 8 Netball vs Ysgol Cwm Brombil

On Tuesday evening, our Year 7 and Year 8 netball teams welcomed Ysgol Cwm Brombil for two fantastic matches!

Year 7 ❤️🖤

We had 14 girls selected to represent our Year 7 team, and every single one of them did an outstanding job against a very strong Ysgol Cwm Brombil side. Although the girls unfortunately lost, their determination, resilience and teamwork were incredible throughout the game. We are so proud of the effort they all put in! Unfortunately they left before we were able to capture a photograph of them!

Year 8 🖤❤️

What a performance from our Year 8 girls! They secured a fantastic 5–2 win against a very strong Ysgol Cwm Brombil team. It was lovely to see the girls putting everything we have been working on in practice into action during the game. They worked incredibly hard for this result!
A massive thank you to Layla (Year 😎, who supported Miss Evans by helping to score both games and cheering on all the girls. Your help and support were greatly appreciated! Well done to everyone involved! ❤️🖤

This week, it was 7L’s turn to visit Swansea Libraries. Our pupils were very excited to explore what was on offer, and they certainly weren’t disappointed! Those with prior parental consent had the opportunity to sign up for library membership, while everyone enjoyed discovering the fantastic range of resources, activities and services available to them.

A wonderful opportunity to explore the benefits of our local libraries and discover a love of reading! 💙📖

Yesterday, some of our Year 11 learners had the fantastic opportunity to visit New College, Oxford University, as part of the Swansea to Oxford Pupils Programme.

Despite the rainy weather, our pupils thoroughly enjoyed the experience, gaining valuable insights into university life and learning more about this prestigious institution. It was an inspiring and worthwhile visit that broadened their horizons and encouraged them to consider the exciting opportunities available through higher education. Diolch University of Oxford!

Message from Mr Griffiths - If your child is in Year 7, plays rugby but isn't on the list and would like to play, please tell them to bring their kit. He has spoken to some pupils already who aren't on the list but may not have seen them all :)
