EDIT: Just to reassure everyone, my herd is absolutely fine.

It just breaks my heart whenever I see or hear about animal abuse in any form, whether in everyday life, online or anywhere in between.

The thought of any innocent animal being hurt or suffering is something I will never understand or accept.

It genuinely makes my heart hurt.

In all honesty, I have absolutely no idea how anyone can hurt an animal.

An innocent, beautiful, special creature that deserves nothing but love, kindness and compassion.

I’m not entirely sure what to call people who deliberately do. And I’m certainly not sure what sort of person you have to be to believe that causing pain or suffering to a defenceless creature is ever acceptable.

What I am sure of is that animals deserve our protection, our respect and our kindness.

They trust us. They depend on us. And in return they deserve our love.

There is simply no excuse for cruelty. Ever x

You’ve got to love a photographer who perseveres with you through seven cheeky ponies with minds of their own, all my tantrums, stresses, wobbles and everything else that comes with trying to get a decent photograph of me and my seven ponies.

Photographs like these are something I will treasure and cherish forever. They capture moments that are so incredibly precious to me, and I’m beyond grateful to have these memories captured so beautifully.

If this video does nothing else, I hope it shows just how precious our older generation is, and how important human connection, conversation and companionship become as we grow older.

If you have an elderly relative, neighbour or friend, please visit them. And if you have the opportunity to volunteer or spend time with people in a care home, please consider it.

A visit. A conversation. Holding someone’s hand. Sitting and listening. They may seem like such small things, but to someone who spends a lot of time alone, they can mean everything.

We need to look after our older generation. To listen to their stories, give them our time and remind them that they still matter.

They are precious ♥️

I often get asked which ponies I choose to take on visits and how I decide. And the secret is, every visit and every decision I make starts long before we set off.

I spend so much time thinking about which pony is right for each place and each person. It’s definitely not as simple as picking whoever’s closest that morning!

I weigh up the herd, the journey, the setting and the individuals we’re visiting. All of that matters.

And it’s not only about who comes with me. I also have to think about who’s staying behind.

Field dynamics are a huge part of every decision too, making sure everyone left at home is settled, balanced and content.

I also plan out each week so the workload is shared fairly. No one is overworked, everyone gets proper rest, and each of the Dinks gets their fair share of visits.

Today’s combination was a new one, and I wasn’t entirely sure how it would go.

But I think these photos speak for themselves ♥️

It’s hard to comprehend how contact, a hug, or simply being touched can be so painful for some people. It honestly breaks my heart.

But hopefully, a little kindness and a moment of connection made Victoria feel better, even if it was only for a couple of minutes.

We never truly know what someone else is going through.
