To all the Dan fans around the world, Georgie and I went to visit him today during his birthday week.

He made sure to remind me several times to let everyone know that his birthday is coming up very soon!

It was so lovely to see him and his friends again, and Georgie did an amazing job of sleeping through most of the visit!

Happy Birthday, Dan. As promised, there’ll be a little something in the post for you x

Gracie had colic last night. One of the hardest things about having animals is those moments when they’re sick or in pain. It honestly makes my heart ache.

Thankfully, Wessex Equine were swiftly on hand with meds and support to help manage her pain.

She’s looking brighter today and, for all the horsey people… there’s a poo!

I’ll do a more detailed update later, but for now please send your positive thoughts and love to Gracie x

Thank goodness for fly masks! 🐴

I’m often asked why the ponies wear those “things over their eyes”, so here’s why:

Fly masks help protect a pony’s eyes, face and sometimes ears from biting insects such as flies and midges. They’re made from a fine mesh that allows the pony to see clearly while creating a protective barrier against pests.

They help reduce irritation and discomfort from flies around the eyes, prevent eye injuries and infections caused by rubbing or insect bites, protect sensitive ponies from sunlight when UV-blocking materials are used, and allow them to graze and move normally while staying comfortable outdoors.

I choose Equilibrium Products fly masks and, considering how many brands I’ve tried over the years, these are by far THE BEST for little heads. Despite covering their eyes, properly fitted fly masks do not obstruct vision and are designed to be safe, breathable and comfortable.

Unfortunately, because they are worn so often and exposed to the elements, they do show signs of wear and tear over time.

When things seem bad, keep going. When things seem difficult, keep trying. When the glass feels half empty, look again.

Not because every problem has an easy solution, and not because optimism magically changes reality. But because perspective matters.

Bad days pass. Difficult seasons teach us. And sometimes the strength we need is found in taking the next step rather than seeing the whole path.

Lately, I’ve been learning that strength isn’t always about pushing harder. Sometimes it’s about carrying on quietly, even when the road feels a little longer than expected.

The glass may not be full yet, but it’s not empty either.

Keep moving forward. One day, you’ll look back and realize you were stronger than you thought x
