These are the draft minutes from the Parish Council meeting on Tuesday - they make reference to a grant of £11.5k, but the total payment from the Parish to the library is £18k per year because the Council also rents "office space" for £6.5k. The £18k could well be threatened if the library is not shown to be a valued community asset.

It seems it is time to dust off this page, which has been dormant since Liden library reopened in May 2021, as now there is considerable uncertainty over its future, and we need the residents of the area and library users to show that they care about its future!

📖 Advertiser on closure of Covingham Library and uncertain future of Liden Library.

📖 Dale Heenan's Swindon Community Library Trust ran out of money. The Trust then dumped it onto Friends of Covingham Library (who didn't have the resources)

📖 Trust now seeking to transfer Library to Nythe, Eldene and Liden Library (who have had accounting and compliance problems)
