What an afternoon! Massive thanks to Malmesbury School for hosting a Girl’s ‘rock up to rugby’ event. The afternoon was contact fuelled learning how to fall safely, tackle and ruck! All their hard work and games was put in to practice at the end with a full size rugby game - this was amazing to see! Well done girls 💪

Year 7 played in the Swindon Schools Netball Tournament last night at Dorcan and finished an amazing 3rd! Mrs Evans reports: "The team showed great 'bouncebackability' after losing their first game to Nova who were the eventual winners. They won the rest of their group games demonstrating great team work and team spirit, beating RWBA, St Joseph's, Abbey Park and Deanery without conceeding a single goal! Finishing 2nd in their pool, they faced Highworth in the 3rd place play off and came away victorious. Well done to Holly M who was my POM and Muna C who was awarded players player. Great work Year 7s- Michelle EM, Flo W, Grace O, Ariya KL, Paige B (capt) Naomi V, Summer O, Holly M and Muna C. Next league match November 4th V Nova."

This year we chose to celebrate Harry Potter Book Day with a whole week of activities in the Library. Students earned a sticker for each day they participated and a prize for participating in all the events. They showed their creative side with their designs, knowledge through our tricky quiz questions and had to break secret codes and solve puzzles to complete the challenges set. Well done to everyone who took part, and thank you to Mrs Sirrelle for organising!

Miss Piesse ran the first School, of Rock rehearsal after school yesterday, and what a turn out: "Our first rehearsal was all about becoming an ensemble, team building and learning what it means to be a 'rock band'! They all created their own rock bands and all got up on stage to introduce themselves and practise the high level of energy needed for such a brilliant musical! The enthusiasm, excitement and atmosphere was brilliant!"
