"A chorus of thunderous silence
Two minutes to remind us
Of those who look fear in the eye
And say no. I choose hope."

As well as standing together in Remembrance on 11 November (Armistice Day), we also observe a Two Minute Silence at 11am on Remembrance Sunday. Please join us for just two minutes for our Armed Forces, past and present.

From the frontline overseas to the local garage forecourt, our soldiers can be posted anywhere at any moment.

For Sophie, a driver in the The Royal Logistic Corps, this meant being deployed to Afghanistan with 48 hours’ notice as part of the evacuation effort; then, less than two months later, delivering fuel to petrol stations across Essex.

Having gone straight from school to college and into a job, I never got the chance to travel like a lot of my friends.

Now I get the best of both worlds. Next on the list, canoeing in the Canadian Rockies.

Search Army Reserve and satisfy your travel bug.

The Regiment deployed on the weekend to Leek Training Area to enhance their Basic Combat Skills (BCS) through the Soldier First Syllabus.

First thing first exercising troops were put through their paces with various rehearsals which included: fire and movement, fire control orders, six section battle drills, just to name a few. There's something exciting about packing up my work bag on a Tuesday evening and heading over to our weekly training at the Reservist unit.

Joining a local unit, I've commit to a minimum of 27 days each year. Each sessions counts towards these and it's great to have something social and active to look forward to in the working week.

Congratulations to Cpl Farr from 871 Postal and Courier Sqn who was awarded third place in the ABF Soldiers Photo competition 📸

Cpl Farr recently completed an attachment with the media team and whilst she was there captured this brilliant image of soldiers of parade during their ‘Fit for Role’ inspections in preparation for their ceremonial duties this summer in London
Cpl Farr’s image combined with eleven others are featured in the calendar which is available to buy from the ABF shop 📆

Cpl Farr has opted to deploy to the Falklands in January 2022, looking forward to fulfilling her C1 Postal and Courier capability - a tour that also oozes picturesque content and settings that Cpl Farr shall embrace, by continuing to capture both military and location in a photojournalist manner 📷
Congratulations Cpl Farr 👏

Exercise Lyceum Wolf.

“No one is born a great cook; one learns by doing."

One of the most rewarding aspects of being a chef is making soldiers happy! Our chef’s role is vital, on Exercise Lyceum Wolf they have kept the troops going. There is nothing better than being able to boost morale for soldiers by providing them with a delicious hot meal whether it breakfast or dinner they are always there providing top quality food! Well done all. 👏

WO1 Weston who headed up the chef team received the Commanding Officers coin from the 2nd in Command for his efforts and leadership.

Exercise Lyceum Wolf.

Last week we trained, this week we exercise with other regiments within 104 Logistic Support Brigade. Movement Control Operators assisted 165 Regiment RLC (Port and Maritime) and their very capable Mexifloat and 157 Regiment RLC (Transport) on the Solent. 165 Regiment RLC continued their challenging task and set up the logistic beach unit. Great collaborative training.

All this while our Postal and Courier’s continue to operate their a Field Post Office’s on Dartmoor.
