We have put another drug dealer operating in Swindon behind bars following an investigation by local policing officers, supported by the Met’s Op Orochi county lines team.
Isaac Newby, 28, of Goldcrest Close, Yateley, appeared at Swindon Crown Court on 20th May where he was jailed for four years and four months.
On March 3rd this year, officers investigating a Class A drug line operating in Swindon identified a flat in St Ives Court, Swindon, as part of their enquiries.
Officers gained entry and Newby was found on the bed attempting to conceal the phone linked to the suspect drug line, along with his personal phone which was shown to be travelling with the drug line.
He was subsequently arrested on suspicion of being concerned in the supply of Class A drugs, for which he was charged and pleaded guilty to.
Investigating officer PC Sam Young said: “This is Newby’s third conviction for Class A drugs offences – clearly he has not learned his lesson.
“We are committed to ensuring that Swindon and Wiltshire are hostile places for drug dealers and we will continue working to keep dealers off our streets.
“Community intelligence is absolutely vital for us to achieve this. The public are our eyes and ears on the ground and each piece of information helps us build a better understanding of what is going on, and allows us to take targeted action like this against Newby.
“If you have any information, please report it either via 101 or our website.
“Information can also be left anonymously with Crimestoppers on 0800 555111.”
