Mill gates open Weds-Sat 9-4 and Sun 9-2. Situated on the Square, in the heart of Talgarth, we are a fully restored 18th century flour mill powered by the River Ellywe that flows from the Black Mountains. The Mill is 100% run by volunteers and is open Wed to Sat from 10am to 3pm. Our riverside Café is open from

9am to 4pm, Tues to Sat. Our Craft Shop and in-house Bakery are open from 9am on the same days as the Mill (best arrive early if you want to guarantee getting the bakery's freshly baked bread or pastries!). Our renowned award-winning stoneground flour is available for sale from the Mill. All money raised from flour sales and tours goes to help keep this amazing project running!

Did you know that Talgarth Mill is run entirely by volunteers? We simply wouldn’t be open without them. That’s just a fact.

We are in need of more people to help produce our renowned flour - millers and flour baggers! The sale of flour in turn helps us continue to maintain the mill.

It is a wonderful place to volunteer. Not only will you learn new skills (training given!), it’s also a fantastic socially-active hub at the heart of Talgarth. The perfect place to meet new people and form friendships.

Whatever your interest or your skills, we need people just like you! So please get in touch for a friendly chat and to find out what it takes to keep the Mill running and milling our famous flour!

Email [email protected] or pop in during our opening hours.
