We found this picture of my great grandfather, Charles Sharp, in my gran’s collection. My gran and her family spent many a summer in Tarbert on their summer holidays having sailed ‘doon the water’ from Glasgow. We think this was taken in the late 1930s.

Hi - I'm wondering if anyone can help. I was in Tarbert yesterday and today - and I bought a beautiful wooden wall art seahorse in the Loch Fyne Gallery. I then went for a walk up to the castle and slipped and fell. On my return home I found that the seahorse had come apart and the head is missing - can only assume that it fell out of the wrapping when I fell - is there anywhere I could put a notice out and if anyone finds it I would pay for postage and packing for it's return. Thanks for any ideas or help Sarah Terry

In spite of the rain on Saturday,there seemed to be plenty of avid boat lovers visiting the pontoons for a look see at the Traditional Boat Rally.
