Every single day, perfectly usable household items are thrown away long before the end of their life. At Tattershall Reuse Shop, we believe everyday items still have plenty of life left in them — and every item reused makes a real difference to our planet. 💚

Take a simple wooden dining chair for example 🪑
➡️ It can take over 6-8 hours to manufacture
➡️ Timber may travel thousands of air miles before reaching UK factories
➡️ Production uses electricity, fuels, paints, packaging and transport
➡️ Manufacturing furniture creates carbon emissions and pollution long before it even reaches a shop floor

Now imagine that multiplied by millions of items every year.

We’re pleased to share more opportunities for residents to support local charities and community groups through reuse at selected Household Waste Recycling Centres across Lincolnshire.

Following our recent charity reuse promotion, we’ve now introduced dedicated drop-off points for specific items at certain sites. A big thank you to the charities and community groups who have reached out — we’re looking forward to supporting your work and helping you continue to make a difference in our communities.
