Thank you for joining us yesterday for our flower craft! We think your creations look great and some of them are pictured below. 🌷 🌼
We also had lots of fun on the Switch and even tried out some of our other games.

Don’t forget, alongside our lovely books, there are plenty of daily activities within the library to keep the children entertained! Colouring, Lego, puzzles and treasure hunts!

Join us at Priorswood Library on Monday 13th April for a FREE flower themed craft! We will also have the Switch up and running for those keen players!
This is a drop in event and will run between 10am and 12.30pm, then again after lunch between 1.30 and 3pm.

Have you seen our wonderful and colourful new outdoor reading space?
We are very much looking forward to using this space as the weather becomes warmer.
A huge thanks to artist Lucy Oates and Somerset Art Works for their amazing work and dedication to the project.
And of course to the children of Lyngford Park Primary School for their creative ideas and helping us officially open the space last week, alongside Mayor Councillor Martin Straus.

Did you know that Priorswood Library offers a Homework Club every Monday during term time?

What is the Homework Club?
Every Monday from 4-5pm we dedicate space and time to children and young people to allow them to complete their homework in the library. Children under 10 will also be able to access the computers, as long as we have parental/guardian consent (please see a member of staff). We will have recommendations of useful educational websites.

*Parents of children under 8 must remain with their children throughout the session.*

No need for booking - just turn up and we can help you find space to study.

😃🎨🫟Look what is happening at Priorswood Library this half term holiday. Join artist Lucy Oates for half term creativity on Friday 20th February.
This is a FREE drop in workshop for families that is suitable for all ages, (children under 8 to have a parent/carer with them helping). We will be using colourful shapes, sheets of paper, card and magazines to design our own posters. This workshop is offered by Somerset Art Works as part of the Her Ground project in and around Lyngford Park. Thanks to funding from Nature Hubs and the Taunton Town Council Ward Members Initiative Scheme.

Thank you to everyone who joined us yesterday for our half term craft and Switch activity! It was lovely to see the library so bustling! We enjoyed celebrating Children's Mental Health Week (1 day late!) by making many varieties of feelings wheels to help children express their emotions. We also enjoyed playing Mario Kart on the Nintendo Switch.

Don't forget we always have Lego/Duplo, colouring and Treasure Hunts available in the library to keep the children entertained! This Friday you can also join artist Lucy Oates for a free colourful collage workshop between 10am and 12pm.

Join us on Monday 16th February for some half term crafting! We will be marking by creating some colourful emotion wheels - a helpful way for children to express their feelings to their grown ups! This is a free drop in event.
We will also have the Nintendo Switch up and running, ready for those eager gamers!
We will of course have our usual exciting library activities out - Lego, colouring, Treasure Hunt, games and puzzles.

Please note we will close as normal for the lunch hour, so the event will run from 10am-12.30pm and then again 1.30pm until 4pm.
