It's yesterday once more!
We've uncovered these shots by the young Ken Jones taken on his 126 Kodak camera during a publicity day at Taunton bus station in May 1966, along with the following notes.
.... "It was a busy day with lots of buses and coaches in the town. Western National introduced their new express coaches EDV 502D and EDV 505D, two of a brand new fleet of coaches in Royal Blue livery with Western National branding. They will also be used for tours throughout the West Country as well as supplementing longer trips such as to West Midlands and South Wales. Also on hand were two older Royal Blue coaches which are to be gradually phased out"
That's 50 years ago this week that these pictures were taken, but the year would become so memorable for so many people because transport was already in the news
