🎉 We’re celebrating all things T Levels this T Level Week (19th –23rd October)!

T Levels give young people the opportunity to combine classroom learning with valuable experience in the workplace, helping them develop the skills and confidence they need for their future careers.

For employers, supporting a T Level student is a chance to inspire future talent, share industry knowledge and help young people understand what the world of work is really like.

💻 Work experience: only a computer and an internet connection required!

Young people can now gain valuable insight into major organisations like Specsavers, the RAF and Metro Bank through virtual work experience.

These opportunities are typically self-paced, free to access and accompanied by a certificate on completion.

🎉 The Somerset Skills and Careers Fair 2026 is almost here!

We’re excited to welcome students, teachers and exhibitors to The Octagon Theatre & Westlands Entertainment Venue tomorrow, as we proudly host the fair alongside Yeovil College.

It promises to be a fantastic day full of learning and exploring all the wonderful skills development opportunities and carer pathways available across the county for our young people

We're looking forward to welcoming schools, colleges, training providers and employers to the Somerset Skills and Careers Fair at the The Octagon Theatre & Westlands Entertainment Venue, Yeovil, this time next week - Wednesday 7th October.

With just one week to go, excitement is building for what promises to be an inspiring and engaging event. Around 1,800 young people from South Somerset will have the opportunity to explore a wide range of industries, discover different career pathways and learn about post-16 and post-18 education, training and employment opportunities.

A huge thank you to all our exhibitors, schools and partners who are helping make this event possible. The fair is delivered by the Somerset Careers and Pathways Team in collaboration with Yeovil College, and we are grateful for the continued support of everyone involved in creating this valuable opportunity for young people.
