Arc are a charitable organisation supporting those at risk of homelessness and those who have become homeless through accommodation and support services, for 50 years in Somerset. We work together to house, support and enable homeless people, to maximise their potential.

On Mental Health Awareness Week, we’re shining a light on the amazing work our support workers do every day to support the wellbeing of people within our services. 💚

From cooking together and spending time at the allotment, to gardening projects and games nights, these activities help build confidence, connection, routine and a sense of belonging.

Small actions can help support good mental health and help people feel more hopeful. And while individual actions matter, when people come together it can be even more powerful. 🫶

Happy Somerset Day! ❤️💛

Today also marks the beginning of Mental Health Awareness Week, a reminder that home is more than just four walls. It’s safety, belonging, dignity, and hope.

Here in Somerset, too many people are facing homelessness while also struggling with loneliness, anxiety, trauma, and poor mental health. The two are deeply connected and no one should have to face either alone.

As a Somerset homelessness charity, we see every day how compassion, community, and support can change lives. This Somerset Day, let’s celebrate the strength of our county by looking out for one another and making sure everyone has a safe place to call home.

Together, we can build a kinder Somerset. 🫶

On Wednesday, our kitchen team at Lindley House had an unannounced food hygiene inspection from Somerset Council.

The inspector was really impressed and has once again awarded the kitchen a 5-star hygiene rating. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Congratulations to John, Rob, and the team at Crescent Cleaning Services for their continued work in ensuring a safe food environment for our clients. 👏
