📚 This week we have started our first school assemblies to promote this year’s Summer Reading Challenge! We are aiming to visit almost 100 schools in Somerset before the end of term.

💙 We love engaging with the children and school staff about reading and where your imagination can take you!

📚 Volunteer Opportunity: Home Library Service – Somerset Libraries Bridgwater & the surrounding area 🚗
Do you love books and enjoy chatting with people? 📖💬
We're looking for friendly, reliable volunteers to join our Home Library Service team in Somerset Libraries Wellington
As a volunteer, you'll:
✅ Choose and deliver books and audio books to individuals who are unable to get to the library themselves both in their own homes and care homes
✅ Chat with customers and help combat loneliness
✅ Support access to other local services when needed
✅ Make a real difference in your community!
No experience needed – just a passion for reading and helping others. Training and support provided. DBS checks are required and arranged by Somerset Council.

What a fantastic event! Thanks to St Andrew's Church, Burnham on Sea for inviting us to take part in their Mental Health and Wellbeing Cafe, as part of Mental Health Foundation . We spoke to many people interested by what Somerset Libraries do to support the journey to good mental health and wellbeing 🤩🥰 Lovely to meet everyone!
