☀️ We had a great day today at the Langport family play day!

📚 So far this summer we have attended fetes and play days in Crewkerne, Bridgwater, Yeovil, Chard and Langport and according to the organisers almost 7,000 people have visited in total!

❤️ Thank you to everyone who stopped at our library gazebo to say hello! We have enjoyed meeting you all.

Another day = another play day! ☀️ Today we attended the Chard play day organised by the wonderful community engagement team from The Octagon Theatre at this year’s brilliant new venue Chard Rugby Club. It was great to represent Somerset Libraries Chard, offering free activities to families and meeting everyone who came along!

⛱️☀️As our Summer Reading Challenge assemblies come to an end for this year, the Outreach Team have been busy organising and delivering a range of exciting events both in our communities and across our libraries. One of these was welcoming the amazing Manor Court Community Primary School Chatterbooks group into Chard Library yesterday. Over the past year they have been part of a school and library book club and it has been a pleasure working with them and sharing their reading journey. For their final session with us, the group visited the library to experience some of the digital equipment we have on offer, including our popular VR headsets. A huge thank you to all involved. We have loved working with them and we hope they have enjoyed being part of Chatterbooks as much as we have enjoyed having them with us. 📚❤️
