There’s high demand for our 10 most wanted titles, and many eager customers are waiting to borrow them. We’ve purchased as many copies as our budget allows, but if you’re able to help, we’d be truly grateful.

If you have a pristine copy, you’ve finished reading - whether it’s one you bought yourself or received as a gift - you can donate it at any library in Devon or Torbay. We’ll add it to our collection to help reduce the waiting list.

🌈🐘 Elmer is coming to the library this half term! 🐘🌈

We may be a little too busy to celebrate Elmer Day this week, but we couldn’t possibly let our favourite patchwork elephant pass by unnoticed!

So, during half term we’ll be enjoying a colourful week of Elmer fun at the library, including puzzles, games, and Lego to play with throughout the week. 🎲🧩🧱

Join Cherry for a special storytime reading of Elmer and the White Bear.

A Year of Support for Tavistock Library
Over the past year, the Mayor of Tavistock has generously supported Tavistock Library through a variety of fundraising events and community activities.

Thanks to this wonderful support, a total of 🎉🎈£1,718.13 🎈🎉has been raised to help the library continue to thrive as a welcoming place for discovery, and community connection.

These photographs capture some of the memorable moments, laughter, and generosity shared throughout the year. We extend our sincere thanks to everyone who took part and helped make these events such a success.
