The Common Ground Award is offering funding to help organisations in Ironbridge Gorge and across Telford & Wrekin bring people together and build stronger, more connected communities.

💷 £20,000–£50,000 for eligible organisations
🤝 Up to £250,000 for eligible consortiums
🏘️ £2.5 million available overall

Funding could support:
✅ Community spaces and facilities
✅ Renovations and improvements
✅ Essential equipment
✅ Projects bringing people from different backgrounds together

Update

A quick update about the Village Centre

You may have noticed that a new sign has been fitted to the Lightmoor Health Centre building in the Village Centre.

We understand that residents may have questions about the change. The existing leaseholders have changed the use of the premises to a skin clinic. We weren’t notified of the change in advance, so we’re currently finding out more information and are still waiting for confirmation of when the clinic will open.

Ironbridge Medical Practice

We’re also aware that residents are waiting for an update about Ironbridge Medical Practice. The practice is still waiting for an inspection from the CQC, which needs to take place before it can open.

We appreciate that residents are keen to know when both services will be available. We’ll share further information as soon as we’re able to confirm it.

🌟 Supporting Our Local Youth Club! 🌟
​Last night, our Chair, Jordan, and Vice Chair, Pete, had a fantastic time helping out at the Lightmoor Youth Club! From all accounts, everyone had a great evening—and Jordan’s cooking skills were a massive hit with the youngsters. 👨‍🍳✨
​Our youth club is such an amazing asset to the village, providing a brilliant, fun space for the young people in our community. We’re so glad LVEMC could lend a hand and join in on the fun.
​A huge thank you to all the leaders and volunteers who make it happen every week! 💚🙌

📢 Lightmoor Village Estate Management Committee Update 📢

Last night, we held our September LVEMC meeting!
We were thrilled to welcome two new members to the team, Adrian and Scott, as well as welcome back our re-elected members, Louise, Wendy, and Jordan. We're looking forward to working together to continue supporting and improving our wonderful community. 🌟
With a new term beginning, we also said a very fond goodbye to Beth, who is stepping down from the committee. Beth has been absolutely integral to building the LVEMC into what it is today. Her dedication, hard work, and passion for the village have made a lasting difference, and we want to send her a huge thank you for everything she has done for Lightmoor. You’ll be greatly missed, Beth! 💚
