A Red Heat Health Alert has been issued for the West Midlands from 1AM Wednesday 24 June until 11PM Thursday 25 June 2026.
We want our residents to enjoy the sunshine safely, so please take a moment to check on those who may be more at risk during this period of hot weather - older relatives or neighbours, young children and babies, and anyone living with a long-term health condition.

🇬🇧Monday June 22 marks the beginning of Armed Forces Week

❤️🤍💙It is a chance to show your support for the men and women who make up the Armed Forces community: from currently serving personnel to Service families, veterans and cadets.

✍️Wellington Town Council, Shropshire are honoured to share a poem written by local resident Tracy Mallon.
Tracy wrote "I'm a veterans wife now but wrote this poem whilst my husband was still serving and thought I would share it with you. Thank you for arranging this day. It means a lot to see someone cares about our veterans and serving soldiers after all they have been through."

Project Prom is at Wellington Community Library and Residents Hub this prom season!
👗🕴Offering beautiful dresses and smart suits, all for FREE, for those looking for the perfect prom 'fit!

📅 The Prom Pop Up will be open at the library every Friday 5pm-7pm and Saturday 10am-2pm, during prom season.

Donations of clothing are most welcome. Matching hangers and a steamer are also on the wish list if you have these to share. Please drop donations off at the library during staffed hours.

West Team update - Recently the West Team have strimmed and cleared the pathway on Mill Lane leading to Waterloo Road. They have also cleared the entrance to the Bowring Cemetery at the top of Union Road, cutting back overgrowth and Strimming nettles. All bird nesting checks were thoroughly carried out before work commenced. Photos attached:
