⚠🚨EVENT CANCELLATION🚨⚠

⛈We have, unfortunately, had to make the difficult decision to cancel tomorrow's Urban Scarecrow Fest and Gardener's Jumble. The weather forecast has predicted heavy rain for Saturday 29th August which has sadly put an end to our planned outdoor fun ☹

🍄Wonderful Susie from Wellington Community Library and Residents Hub is stepping in and providing FREE craft activities, keepsakes and a Whimsy Hunt in the library from 10am - 1pm so please do pop in and see her

Wellington Town Council will be holding their annual Remembrance Day Service and Parade on Sunday 8th November 2026.
The Parade will leave The Naylors Row car park in the centre of Wellington on Sunday 8th November at 10.35am. It will turn right into New Street, march through Market Square and into Church Street, past The Lychgate (in front of All Saints Church) in time for the short service (outside) which will be held on the grassed area in front of All Saints Church. Following the service, at approximately 11.15am, the parade will march—by the same route in reverse—back to Naylors Row car park for dismissal at approximately 11.40am. The mayor will take the salute in the Square as this is done.
As in previous years, the parade will be organised and supervised by a formal Parade Marshall and headed by the Wellington (Telford) Brass Band.
May I also take this opportunity to remind you that there will be no parking at Naylors Row car park as the Parade assembles in that area and it will be closed to vehicles.

If you are intending to lay a wreath at the Lychgate could you please let us know no later than 2nd November 2026.

Armistice Day
A small service will also take place in Wellington Market Square on Wednesday 11th November at 10.50am.
