Throughout the month of August, Tenby Town Council will thank and celebrate the charities and organisations that we've worked with and serve our community.

Tenby Town Council would like to express our deepest gratitude to the Tenby and District Lions 🦁 for their unwavering dedication, generosity, and service to our community. Year after year, you give your time, energy, and passion to making Tenby an even better place to live, work, and visit.

Your support touches so many aspects of our town, and last year’s Christmas Lights Switch-On was yet another shining example of what can be achieved when people come together. It simply wouldn’t have been the same success without your hard work, teamwork, and enthusiasm — bringing festive joy to residents and visitors alike. ✨

And finally, we’d like to wish you the very best of luck for this Sunday’s fundraising night at the De Valence 🎶🍷 — we hope it’s a brilliant evening that raises plenty of support for the fantastic work you do all year round.

Can you help us please? – We urgently need Friends and Members in order to keep up our good work. We usually raise around £15,000 each year, donate to international, national and (mainly) local causes - and do 100's of hours community service!

We urgently need new Members and Friends if we are continue our good work in our two towns. We are trying to keep up a good head of steam in our Fund Raising and Community Service activity - but it just means that a lot of effort and stress is being placed on a smaller and smaller number of individuals - which is not a good thing for their well-being :-)!

We have a list of Friends (mainly in Olney) who we appeal to, for help when we have Fund Raising events. They are really helpful and we couldn't do what we do without their help. We'd like to form a list of NP folk too.

But we also need new Members to help us in other ways too - people with real business skills - organising events and arranging social activities - and coping with the internal admin we have to do - e.g. Trustees Annual Report, GDPR/ICO Compliance, Gift Aid processing, Service and Activity reporting to Lions International, updating our (rather neglected) website, etc.

We have a mix of highly experienced members. (men and women) and young and old. We are all good friends too!
