Report suspicious emails by forwarding them to: [email protected]

Report suspicious text messages by forwarding them to: 7726 (it’s free of charge)

Hang up

Check if it’s genuine: contact the organisation directly using contact details you know are correct, such as those on a utility bill, official website, the back of your card or by calling 159 for your bank

Don’t trust the Caller ID display on your phone – it’s not proof of ID

Report it by sending a text to 7726 with the word ‘Call’ followed by the scam caller’s number

Tetbury Town Council were delighted to attend the Malmesbury Town Council Inauguration and Robing of the Town Mayor and Deputy Mayor on Thursday evening.

Mayor Ian Watson and CEO Tara Niblett were pleased to represent Tetbury at this special civic occasion, which celebrated the appointment of Cllr Robert Hastings as Mayor for 2026/27 and the election of the new Deputy Mayor.

The evening included the traditional robing ceremony, declarations of acceptance of office, musical accompaniment from drummers of Colonel Nicholas Devereux’s Regiment of Foot, and speeches reflecting on the outgoing Mayor’s service and the year ahead for Malmesbury.

Tetbury Town Council would like to thank Malmesbury Town Council for the kind invitation and warm hospitality, and offer congratulations and best wishes to the new Mayor and Deputy Mayor for the year ahead.

What an incredible 2026 Woolsack in Tetbury!

Firstly, a huge thank you to the amazing Tetbury Woolsack Races committee, volunteers, and local businesses who make this fantastic event possible year after year. You are the reason our town can enjoy such a special tradition, and we truly can’t thank you enough for all the hard work, dedication, and care you put in behind the scenes.

This year’s event was incredibly hot, and the support and care provided throughout the day was absolutely outstanding. It did not go unnoticed and was hugely appreciated by everyone involved.

Secondly, a big welcome to our new Tetbury Town Crier, Pete Dillon! This was Pete’s very first gig, and what a brilliant start it was! You did a fantastic job and we’re excited to see many more to come.

Thank you again to everyone who helped make Woolsack 2026 such a memorable event for Tetbury! 🎉
