Good afternoon. As some of you are aware there was a meeting at Teversham Club last night regarding the pending road closure of Cherry Hinton Road, Teversham. Firstly, thank you to Andrea and all at the club for organising the meeting. Unfortunately Cllr Matthew Morgan was unable to attend but I hope that we heard everyone's concerns and worries. We have, this morning, emailed all points, questions and concerns raised across to the relevant people and have asked that they respond as soon as they possibly can. As soon as we have these replies they will be shared on the relevant pages on facebook and at the Parish Council meeting on Monday 13th April. Once again thank you to all concerned and thank you to all the residents who attended and shared their concerns.

Good afternoon, We just wanted to make everyone aware that we have contacted the relevant, responsible authorities regarding the two caravans that have appeared in the Cherry Hinton Road layby. We have been advised that in due course an enforcement officer will visit the site and provide the appropriate advice.
Also there has unfortunately been what we suspect is further vandalism in the village. The bus stop on Cherry Hinton Road at the end of Spurgeons Close has been vandalised and the seats have been pulled off the supporting bar. This has been reported to the police and it will sadly involve a further cost to public funds in order to effect a repair. We will, of course, keep you updated as we receive any further information.

Good afternoon all,
We have just received the below from Anglian Water regarding an oversize load coming through the village late morning of the 7th April.
We have asked for a map of the route and will update as soon as we receive any further information.
Please help spread the word to affected friends and neighbours who may not be on Facebook.
Thank you

Important delivery on 7 April
On 7 April Anglian water will be having an large, escorted delivery to our water recycling centre just off Fulbourn Road between 11am and 12pm. To help it get through safely, we’re asking people to avoid parking on the narrower parts of Teversham High Street during this time.

Because this is in a Cambridge Water area, we don’t hold addresses for everyone nearby. That means we’re sharing this here instead, so please help us spread the word to your neighbours, friends and anyone visiting the area.

All of our work is happening inside the site, so there’s no impact on your water or sewer services. You may just notice a few more vehicles around while we carry out deliveries.

Thanks for bearing with us while we carry out these improvements.

Unfortunately some vandalism has occurred on the Teversham Recreation Ground, where a newly installed sign has been removed. This has been reported to the police, and extensive searches have been carried out to locate it. Replacing the sign will cost approximately £200 of public funds. If the sign is returned, this cost can be avoided.

❄️🎄We know many of you look forward to the festive lights on the village green each year. Despite our best efforts, we sadly won’t be able to put up the lights this Christmas.
With no electricity available on the green and the church sockets only accessible indoors with armoured cabling required. Other options such as batteries or generators unfortunately carry a high risk of theft or vandalism. isn’t feasible for this setup.
We know this is not what you want to hear but hope you can understand the current issues in place that we look at remove for the future.
The good news is that we are already exploring options for next year and will start the process rolling in January, with the aim of bringing the festive lights back to the village in 2026.
Thank you for your understanding and continued community spirit. For this year please feel welcome to join our friends over at Springstead Village on 4th December for lots of festive fun 🎄❄️
