After 14 years at the heart of Alderton Village Shop, Yari has announced his retirement. Yari has been such a familiar and valued part of village life, always ready with a warm welcome and a friendly word. He has been a true stalwart of our community, and he will be greatly missed.

It was wonderful to see the village come together to raise around £1,700 for his retirement collection - a lovely reflection of just how much he means to so many people. Thank you, Yari, for everything
you have given to Alderton. We wish you a very happy and thoroughly well-deserved retirement.

More news on the future of the shop when we have it.

After 11 years of running Alderton Village Store and Post Office Yari is retiring and the shop is for sale. Alderton thanks Yari for his dedication.

The shop is being sold as a going concern and includes the freehold premises, Post Office and stock. Alderton is a growing village and there’s potential for new owners to develop the retail business and extend opening hours.

Enquiries to Yari directly at the shop or message here to arrange a meeting.
