Our April meeting will feature a talk by Krysia Truscoe from Forestry England on the Archaeology of Thetford Forest. (Details on the poster).
This is the last of our free sessions at the beginning of the year. Members who have not paid their subscription for 2026 will be able to do so before the meeting. (£10 individual, £15 family)
Please note that all future meetings will be charged at £5 a session for non-members.

This Thursday is our first meeting of the year and will be held in the 21 Room at 7 for 7.30pm. Chris Stone is going to tell a story about local treasure after which there will be an opportunity to watch Part 1 of “The 1947 Floods” which several people have beed asking us to show.

It will be possible to pay membership subs at the meeting (£10 or £15 for a family).

OUR LAST MEETING OF THE YEAR

Following last year’s talk by Imogen Radford on how our local rivers have created opportunities for leisure, Andy & Julia will take us through how The Little Ouse and the Wissey have created local opportunities for industry. There’s no entrance fee this time but attendees will be invited to buy a tombola ticket in aid of a local stroke recovery group.

TONIGHT’S MEETING
This month we continue our look at the Roman Fen-edge by inviting members of other history groups to say a little about what has been found on their own patch.

7pm for coffee / tea and set up - and we will start the meeting at 7.30pm There will be a raffle. Last one of the year - prizes gratefully received. Thanks to those who have already given.
