MOD Veterans UK Veterans UK is the MOD's dedicated support organisation for service personnel, veterans and their families.

Veterans UK is part of Defence Business Services (DBS), within the Ministry of Defence, which provides a range of ‘through life’ support functions direct to Serving personnel and the veterans community. The area of Defence Business Services dealing with veterans support is known as ‘Veterans UK’. The services to veterans includes: administration of the Armed Forces Pension Schemes and compensatio

DBS operates from eight main sites - Abbey Wood near Bristol, Cheadle Hulme, Glasgow, Gloucester, Gosport, Liverpool, Norcross near Blackpool and York.

We honour those who fought and died so we could live in freedom.

Her Majesty The Queen opened the 97th Field of Remembrance at Westminster Abbey, marking the start of the nation's commemorations.

Each cross planted is a personal thanks to those who made the ultimate sacrifice.

Minister for Veterans and People Louise Sandher-Jones MP joined veterans, families, and the public to pay tribute.

80 years since VJ Day, we honour the bravery and sacrifice of the Greatest Generation 🕊️

Subedar Major Kalu Sing Chhetri survived over three years as a prisoner of war in Singapore. His incredible courage and leadership earned him the Military Cross and an MBE.

His legacy lives on – both his son and grandson have proudly served in leadership roles within the Gurkhas, carrying on the proud honour to serve in the British Army 🇬🇧

Lieutenant Colonel David Kemmis-Betty is the son of Peter, who was taken prisoner of war during the Far East campaign. He has proudly followed in the footsteps of his father in serving his country 🇬🇧

We will never forget their sacrifice.

It’s 81 years since D-Day.

Defence Secretary John Healey has laid a wreath at the British Normandy Memorial to remember the 22,442 people under British command who lost their lives during the Normandy Campaign.

Their sacrifice restored the way of life we enjoy today.
